One of my friends had an original max wedge Plymouth. In the owner’s manual it stated and I can’t remember the exact numbers but something like
Warning If you hold your foot to floor for more than x number of seconds you will be going in excess of 140 mph. He sold that car for stupid amount of money.

Would love to see the manual that's pretty cool.

Son called me this morning and invited me to go to a car, air plane show with him Saturday.
Hard to pass up a ride in his plane so yea I'm going.

Getting to work today took almost 1 1/2 hours. I detoured around freeway traffic that came to a dead stop, got back on the freeway 10 miles up and was good then see police lights ahead and stopped traffic so exit and go further up to get back on. Almost ready to get back on and traffic is stopped because a semi exiting the freeway died across all lanes and is blocking the road, got back on and finally made it in.

Been a long time for me dealing with traffic. Sorry Buddy that sucks.

Should have kept it. I'd love one

Got to see my new grand twins today and hold them both at the same time was a real treat. If mom didn't dress them in blue and pink I wouldn't be able to tell them apart. Life is good to me...

Been there done that I feel your pain. Then the foreman try’s to tear you a new one. That’s when it doesn’t matter any more. I ripped a strip off him he went back to the sugar shack. 2 hr later he came back and apologized. I let it go. Ya know sometimes.

Street Machine Weekend is back this year, starts tonight with an "unofficial" cruise around town. Previously the club that runs it would have a controlled cruise along one of the main drags in town, but apparently due to some road construction it been canceled this year. No 100' race or autocross event this year either, instead there is a poker run tomorrow and then the usual show and shine on Sunday. Typically we have a very solid turnout of cars, 1000 or so show up and raise a little hell over the weekend. I hope there is a strong showing this year, it's been running for around 40 years, except for last year due to some pandemic thing. I will head out in the Ventura later, try not to embarrass anyone with that badass powerhouse of a machine. My shitbox Dart is not running so it will stay in the garage. Maybe I'll work on it tomorrow afternoon for a bit.
I'll try to get some pictures if I can, not an easy thing to do while driving. If I go to Sunday's show I get some there.

Shitbox? Embarrassed? I think not and would feel proud to ride in both someday.

Only street car I had ever been exposed to in my youth that could loft the front wheels was a little red Ventura II. Red with white lace work, kinda pretty for red . Allegedly it had a 307 in it  it did have a tunnel ram on it which was very obvious :steering:I saw Dan lift the wheels right in front of my Chevron work place, I don't think it was a message, I knew that Ventura had me and my hot rod well covered
