Maybe for the purest but most people are using the high torque starters these days.

Having a taco salad tonight I think I might skip the beans.
Smoky and 94* here today, wind of about 20 mph. Took the Ventura out for a drive, caught a small show at a new local auto shop, then just took a ride, put another 60 or so miles on it, closing in on 40k miles on the clock.

You would have to find the right person otherwise it is a paper weight.
Didn't get many pics, was so hot and my wife didn't want to hang around long, no Mopars there, but I did see a 72 Cuda with Hemi hockey stripes parked in the lot next door, was gone before I could get a picture. Raise your hand if you've ever seen a 455 Olds powered Beetle.
Home built on a shoestring budget, I like it, it's cool.

Iv'e seen one with a 427 or might have been a 454 about 6 years ago it came down from Canada. It had a S10 blazer frame under it and was a mig shift budget car but was great.

Made a taco bowl salad tonight for an early dinner, Lettuce, onion, tomato, avocado, pineapple, [sorry Mark] chicken topped with sour cream, ranch dressing and salsa. And a few beans.

I ran out of croutons so I put some Ritz crackers on top and it was really good. I might not be a great cook but dinner tonight was one of my better meals.

This beetle is on a shortened 78 or 79 Cutlass frame.

I like it and would love to do the same.
In the old days I had a neighbor that did a bug with I think it was a 392 hemi in it but he was a big guy and had a hard time trying to step on the break instead of the gas peddle. LOL
I did that once. It was in a Jenson Interceptor. Laid about 4 feet of rubber before I hit the inside shop wall.

Hope you didn't get hurt but that's funny.
Hurt my ego. LOL It was my first job in the autobody industry. Id been working there about 3 weeks. I thought I was done. It was a brand new steel building too. Shoved the sill off of the slab. I was able to fix the car. The building is probably still damaged.
Its a medicinal pot place today.

We have one come to the local show with a 383. (Shown in a previous post)
It was a great evening. Beautiful drive and a really good turnout. They always have a great show. Here's some of the cars as promised. Hey Fred found a 75 Duster or Dart Sport with the factory sunroof just like yours.
The last picture is my buddies 68 AMX 390 4speed (owned it since it was one year old) and the other side of my car is my other buddies 65 Goat 3x2 4 speed factory car. He met the guy he bought if from at the show.
