i hadnt even thought that far, in my mind, the cabin was build already and i just had to shuttle kids food and fuel across the pond
When I was a kid my dad and uncles built a huge house boat that never left the lake. Built it on site kinda and drove a model a ford chassis into it for propulsion. It was like an island. I remember sitting down to eat at the table with alot of people. It burned down.
sounds like your dad and my grandpa were a lot alike
if i remember correctly, my grandpa build the house i would eventually be born in back in 1953, brick by brick from the ground up
somewhere around 1957 he got hos masons license
its a real shame that boat burned down
