It needed a lot of work Jeff but was fun to drive 350 and 4 speed manual tranny. The cam was way to big for the engine and driving slow I would have to ride the clutch to keep it from putting my head through the back window.

That cam would have been a much cheaper swap in that 350 too!
Just FYI, I am ordering that 3m gun with starter kits of Lg (32oz) and Reg (22oz) cups (6ea). They sell a rubberized Rocker Panel coating for use with the 2.0 tip that might be the ticket for additional sound/wx proofing underneath the car over the POR since it needs a topcoat anyways. Have to check on compatibility of course.

the epoxy primer is better on bare metal than seam sealer in my book than seam sealer to bare metal. then sand the primer put down the seam sealer and then paint it. Is the seam sealer printable? Not sure where you are seam sealing and what kind?
Jeff the last thing I want to do is lead you down the wrong road on fixing your car because I plan on seeing it someday. If you can show me some pictures, and I will help any way I can.

Most sealers are good on bare metal Biff and not sure what you have but sounds good. I just choose to put sealer on just before painting.
Same here on the budget lots of money to paint a car and time. Like I told Jeff when you are ready to spray your car Biff I have extra spray guns I can send you one if you need it. Save your money.

No sleep last night Fred! The older I get the harder time I have sleeping also.
I have my nephew today. The wife and I try to keep him on Saturday nights and take him to church with us. He is 37 and has pretty advanced Down syndrome so he is a fistful sometimes to say the least. The only things he really seems to enjoy is food and his movies. We are watching Rocky V for about the fifteenth time now. We are gonna take him out for dinner in a bit. God knows, he can eat!
I'm going to.get some pictures your way tomorrow or Monday if you don't mind so we can talk a bit.

My cousin in the U.K. has a son with far advanced Downs as well but he's very quiet and he too loves his movies and music also. He's very lovable and fairly high functioning and does very well. He absolutely loves soccer. His older brother takes him to practically every game he can. He's now 41 yrs old and a good son to his mom. As she says he makes a killer cup of tea.
No Biff my car was sprayed a long time ago , we used lacquer and it is ford blue with fire mist . She was originally red.
That was a long time ago I would guess FOG. Lacquer paint has not been around since about the 80's I think in the US. How long have you had the old girl?

No issues sir! He's a good kid (young man)! Just a little hard to communicate with from time to time because he does not speak well and organize his thoughts.
I bought her in 1974 and had her ever since. Fred .
