Ok ok so the fenders are 1968 not perfect I paid a little to much but there aren’t any around ,those valiants were made to be throwaway but Tony was really good he was patient and stuck to his price even with shipping costing him more , i’m going to finish the mini tubs then I’m going to cut the trunk out and put a flat piece of sheet metal with some bead rolls in it in the next month or so I’m not as fast as Fred ,if mine looks one quarter as good I’ll be happy. Then I’ll work my way forward on the old girl.

Morning guys. Not rubbing it in but going to be a beautiful sunny day today. I feel sorry for those of you who are getting hit by more snow. You've really pissed of Mother Nature some how. Did your chili have anything to do with it Fred?

We have Pioneer plates, after the car is 40 years old the plates cost about 70 bucks and never have to licence it again.
Would be nice after a person gets to be 70 you never have to pay taxes again but we all know we will be taxed even after were berried and gone. Kinda like an old chicken after laying so many eggs your turned into chicken noodle soup.
Our cars have to be 25 years and older and supposed to be original but a lot of guys like myself get the Historic Plate which initially costs I think 60 bucks. There are cars out there putting out huge horsepower and still run the Historic Plate.

Morning guys Looks like I'm stuck with the glove and chili but that's OK I'll pass the glove someday but keeping the chili, my only defense. LOL

Sunny here and wind is finally slowed down but still cold enough to keep snow from melting.
Was going to take the old 29 truck out this weekend but will wait a little longer for warmer weather.

Your car will look great Biff glad to see you got your parts.

well guys working on the K member today so I can set the car back on wheels and take it to the paint booth soon. I haven't painted a complete in a long time so got my fingers crossed.
Been looking at Blue Print engines trying to decide if I should go with the fuel injection one or carb.

Fuel injection is the way to go without a doubt. Better performance and fuel mileage. My buddy used the Holley kit and loves it. BUT....there's nothing like a Holley when you hit the secondaries.. It's got a sinister sound all it's own.

Morning guys. What a beautiful day yesterday. I helped the bride get all our garden stuff and patio chairs out of the shed. Got the bird baths out etc etc. Had lunch outside then fired up the Cuda and went out for a drive with all the windows down. Better than any pill a Dr can give ya.
I went to my buddies place and helped him get his 65 GTO fired up. He went for a drive and I headed home. I had forgot to put my new sticker on my plate lol. All is good now though.
Today will be another day of rain and possible thunderstorms. My son is supposed to get 15cm of snow today or last night whatever...he's welcome to it.

By the way guys.. to be able to have a Historic plate on your car it has to be 30 years old and not 25. My mistake.

Wow Biff... I see your gas prices have hit the roof. Ours has gone up too

Morning guys still cold here but they say will warm up soon. Nice sunny morning and had a great walk, robins are back and trying to make a nest in my back breezeway again.
I agree Mark injection is nice but hard to beat the old carb sound.

Hey FOG was working on my front lower control arms and decided to get some after market upper and lowers. If I remember you have QA1 uppers on yours did you replace the lowers as well?

Hey Fred, yes I just changed the uppers. I did some research and most articles say the lowers are fine, they make a plate you can weld on the bottom to make them stronger and that will save you a lot of money. Mancini's has them for $21.95 and your professional welding !

I saw that kit and thinking maybe doing that or the QA1 lowers. Do you remember the cost of your uppers I am wondering if the cost I see is for the pair or just 1. Seems kinda expensive if just 1.
