If you were closer I had extra with a Corona beer and a slice of Lemon for ya.
Looks good Fred. You must have better air conditioning than me if you are using the oven. Hotter than a 2 dollar pistol here 100,100,100 is the forecast. My buddy it Vancouver has 107.

Thanks. Maybe permanently. Ill split the rent. LOL. Na well be fine. keep it around 75 in the house. Could probably do better if I put up some better curtains.

We were supposed to get a lot of rain today. Absolutely bone dry but hot and very humid. Took the bride out for a drive in the Cuda. It was beautiful.
There used to be a big horse farm called Windfield Farms. We'd drive buy it and you could see the horses and the new fowls running around kicking their long hind legs. It was a beautiful site the watch. Years ago you could drive in on a Sunday and walk around. Made for a great afternoon out with mom and dad.
Of course it's all gone now and nothing but housing as far as the eye can see. Disgusting really. Instead of beautiful green pastures this is what you can see now.

Mark, My Aunts house on Conlin Road backed onto EP Taylors farm, I'm sure we used to see Northern Dancer, or that's what I was told.

View attachment 1715757085Dinner tonight is a try to copy my wife's chicken roll up Mexican kinda thing. Chicken, cheese, cream cheese, olives, green peppers, Filo dough with butter between each layer of dough and a few other ingredients. Ready to go in the oven and hope I don't make a mistake and blow myself up. You guys all have wives and I have to put up with my own cooking and I tell ya so far my best cooking is my famous homemade Hormel canned chili for back up if I screw this dinner up.
Sounds good except for the green peppers Fred.

I know that area very well. Northern Dancer is buried on the property. There are three building still standing. The birthing barn and the breeding barn plus the admin office that has been rebuilt. That land is owned by the City of Oshawa and a Historical site. I was talking to the original vet and he said it's common practice to destroy all DNA when the horse dies. He died I believe in Kentucky and the vet flew down and escorted the horse in the back of a transport. He said it was a miracle they didn't open the doors at the border. Northern Dancer is buried on the far left.

That is unbearable.I could not stand that. Your bobsled team will be moving out soon with those temps.

Yesterday Toronto had a major storm with streets flooding. We didn't get anything except a few drops. My son's area had a huge storm and a tornado touched down just 15 minutes north of him.
