Can you pm me the name or contact number for these lights. Driving my Valiant the other night and it was almost scary how little my lights didn’t light up the road. I need something betyer.
 
Great work Cliff, real nice car, the 'black stealth' is a real neat touch. Might take a while to come around on the halos of the other car though.
 
Been almost 6 months since my LED Head Light install... Every thing still working perfect with Zero Issues... No longer do I fear late Night events... Damn I love these LED Lights...

I’ve seen a bunch of folks on this forum purchasing headlight relay kits to make their headlights brighter, why would you do that when you can put LED headlights in 5 minutes and get 10-20 times brighter lights than stock.
Can someone shad some light on this for me please. Pardon the pun... lol
 
Some people don't like the look of the LED's on their cars.

10-20 times brighter. Nope. Bright doesn't mean your eye can see what it's supposed to light up. I've had a couple of customers remove LED's for Halogens.

Relay kit and good halogens are a solid approach as well.

All depends on what you want on your car. Pick your parts, pay your money.
 
I had Led lights on mine with plastic lenses after 4 years one cracked and the other broke in half, car is garage stored but is driven a lot. Just installed relay kit and glass sealed beam and are just as bright as the LED. They LED do look cool but I think if you buy the low end lights you are throwing away your money and maybe your safety. Most are not DOT APPROVED and there are safety reasons for DOT approval.

The ones in my install are DOT and SAE approved!!!
The early LED headlights of about three years ago were junk and did Not have the performance of the new LED's I'm using... They have come a Long Way in the last two years... I can see driving in my 65 Cuda as well as in my 2009 SRT Challenger that came with HID headlights!!! That simply blow Halogen headlights away as far as seeing the Road ahead!!!
And LED's are less strain on old 35 amp alternators and wiring!!! They don't dim when I am at an idle... Hell I can turn the ignition off for an hour and they don't dim... And the car will still start.

But, I do agree, they are not for everyone... Specially the guys/gais who what old school look !!!
But my 73 year old eyes just want to see where the hell they are going... And live to tell about it.
I also have them aimed very correctly and have not even been Flashed by on coming traffic.

Well your testimony alone has me sold on them I think they give are cars a sinister look like they belong in there even when not turned on. I sis not want to risk another failure it seems every time I take them out something on my grille brakes.
 
I have the newer old school look glass LED headlights, plug and play 10 minutes never looked back.
I too have mine adjusted correctly and get no high beams flashed at me, they light up the street way better than stock bulbs ever did on my book there is no comparison.
 
The OEM bulb and crappy OEM wiring are no match for a halogen with a relay kit. I have guys tell me their halogen/relay work better than an HID set up in the newer chargers, etc.

Plenty of choices out there and you can skin the cat many ways.

Pick your parts, pay your money!

Im trying HID's in my Barracuda...Im also using an aftermarket "crystal" style headlight with clear flat face...Low beam is mint...High beam is all over the place, and Im tipping its the position of the source on the HID bulb...looking for an alternative now, been reading this thread with interest...I enjoy the actual white light Im getting now, but HID's are illegal in Australia for a start, without auto dimmers....The LED bulb assemblies look attractive as its an easy ( and cheap) swap, but am reading mixed results...
 
The markings on a lens are only show that the manufacturer claims they meet the regs or standards.
There is no certification process by a US government agency (US DOT) for aftermarket lamps.
Its up to the manufacturer to insure the lamp assembly meets the standard(s) they claim.

because your only looking from the radiator support forward
your LEDs might be gooder then stock lights, BUT you current is still running through the bulkhead, through the dash through the amp meter, through the switch, and back to the headlights

the relays kits shorten that path and take a load off the bulkhead, the dash, the amp meter and the switch

so the relay kit addresses a different issue then the LED headlights, and just because your happy with the LEDs doesnt mean you will not still benefit from adding the relay kit

I’m in no way affiliated with these guys in California called Octane Lighting, if you really want to see what’s available for your car look at their website, they have many options that bolt right in, LED, HID upgraded stock bulbs and classic looking old school bulbs with 2018 guts.... lol, and accessories lighting that really are cool and different, take a look they did me right

That all is a pretty big clue. Can't swap different types of light sources into reflectors and housings designed for something else and expect it to go the same place. There's a reason legit HID and LED lamps don't look like sealed beams, nor sealed beams exactly like HB2/H4 lamps.
For examples of good legit LED headlamps, look at Trucklites newer stuff and JWSpeaker. There may be others, but those have been independently tested and vetted.

But that is one of the Good things going to LED's... They use a fraction of the current/ wattage !!! Wires that once heated up running the old sealed beam head lamps, now run cold with the LED's... You could even run smaller gauge wire... Your alternator works less as LED's use 90% Less power then incandesent bulbs...
But, you can run or do what you want to do!!! Run relays if you want... Not Needed with LEDs, but it wouldn't hurt either... So many options... But like it or not.... LED's Are the Future!!!
It's not even about being such a bright white light... It's about Using LESS Power !!! You end up getting Both !!!

Lenses stay Much Much Cooler also... I leave all my interior lights on in my cuda during night shows... (All LED) And from time to time... Peeps ask me to turn and the exterior lights (headlamps)... And typically I get a " Wow ! " Followed by lots of questions !!! ( And I do Not start the engine either...)

Well said Sir, time to wakey wakey and smell the coffee.... lol.
I changed out all of my bulbs in my 74 Duster to LED bulbs, my dome light used to get so hot I thought that it might catch on fire, now it doesn’t even get warm.
Everything is brighter and more vibrant,
I read that LEDs draw up to 17 tmes less power than incandescent bulbs in your car, today they are all plug and play.
Only change I made to the system was to install a digital flasher for the turn signals, that was plug and play also.
 
From what I understand, halogens can project the light farther. So even if LEDs appear brighter you can technically see farther out with a good halogen. LEDs can provide a limitless color temp spectrum, require much less power, and run cooler. Halogens get hot. Just look at some folks who replaced fog lights in the bumper with brighter halogens and end up melting their frontend.
