May 19, 2013 MoPower Madness Car Show & Swap (Wheaton IL)

I am trying to convince the girl's dad to bring his funny car out to this show. It's 3 mins down the street and we could probably get away with towing it down there with the four wheeler.
 
He has a race that weekend but said if he doesn't go then he will bring the car down to the show as long as no one minds that its not a mopar body
 
Only 19 Days to go...Pray for a cool, dry, sunny day :prayer:

As is always the case, I will not get nearly all the repairs I wanted to get done before the meet. But my junk work in progress will be there.

I really hope some more FABO members can make it. Look forward to meeting those that do.

I was wondering if anyone had a slant six head laying around that they could bring to the show. I need a head to mock up my turbo manifold.

Can't help you with the /6 head, but you may be able to score one cheap at the swap meet on the 19th?

Well just found out that I work the 19th so I can't go to the show. If anyone goes and sees a slant six head for cheap let me know. It doesn't have to be complete. I just need a bare head. I am hoping I can get a break and stop over since I work next to the fair grounds.

That's too bad man...sorry to hear that. Hopefully you can sneak out for a peek. What is considered cheap for a /6? I'll stroll the swap area for you.

One Week To Go Folks! I'll be there bright and early to set-up, direct cars etc. If any of you make it there be sure to chase me down. I'll eventually be parked in the Non-Judged Display area...look for the ratty, major resto needing, yellow Duster. :sad5:

What is the earliest I can get there? I have a bit of set-up to do.

50-75 bucks for a bare head. Preferable with no bolts snapped off in it.
 
So everyone knows this is the show to be at tomorrow. Hemidenny is in Illinois with his brother John and they did bring some goodies for all to see. If you find my car be sure to introduce yourself it'll be parked next to the bad *** porno red interior hemi duster.

Outstanding! I got back about an hour ago from helping the club set this up for tomorrow. Several of the swap booths are set-up ad signage is in place. Looks like I'll be parking the pre-75 Modified cars...I have my sad Yellow Duster parked in shame LOL. See you in the morning. Gonna be a great day weather wise too!
