Keep those wheels spinnin' and keep them beavers grinnin'. Over and out.
Looking good. I would put a gas tank underneath like the later ones. I seen too many of them in the cab leak gas inside clear up to the front floor
I have the stock tank from my 63 falcon (same as mustang) and it’s in wonderful shape, and the sender works with the mopar gauge. I’ve already investigated what the “go to” frame mounted tank is and the mustang is one of the options. Mine doesn’t leak at all, it’s got all new lines and clamps and a new sending unit and there are zero gas smells inside. I think that’s short lived though as they all do those things eventually.I'd do both. Tank in cab and underneath
You can get the tank coated, to prevent leaking.
Yeah I had that leak happen to my old 78 d300. I sent it in and had it repaired and coated. No more problems
Yeah, those things grab hard.Yea I have the handle that came with the drill but just didn’t have it on there. I can’t believe the molded handle broke when the bit locked up. I seriously thought my wrist was broken.
You earned the right to laugh and not have to let time pass.I feel like enough time has passed I can now laugh to my hearts desire about that thing almost sending you into orbit. 7/10, tell the boss he needs a heated work space.
man i was there in august and nearly needed a sweatshirt, i can't even imagine how bone chilling it musta been today! You earned the right to laugh and not have to let time pass.
The heated work space will never happen. There are 6, 8 foot diameter fans in the roof making heating an exercise in futility. We recycle the air in the building every 30 minutes.

My hands hurtThink it was low 50s out when we started so I’d guesstimate 43 in the building. Wasn’t bad till you hit yourself with a hammer.
I’d say it was chilly. Not cold by any stretch but certainly not warm laying on the concrete.man i was there in august and nearly needed a sweatshirt, i can't even imagine how bone chilling it musta been today!
Plans? Ha! You think I plan any of this stuff? Ok that’s mostly a joke but not really. I don’t really have a plan for the D as I shouldn’t be working on it right now because I have 2 other cars to finish. But I just like it so much and have wanted one for so long I can’t help myself. I’ve had a picture in my head of a lowered short wide D100 and I’ll just keep moving towards that. I’ll probably never paint another vehicle in my life so the paint is what it is. Maybe polish it up and clear it, that’s all. For wheels anything is possible because they’re easy but for now the cop wheels can stay, they might get painted to match the interior. Drivetrain plans are wildly up in the air, everything from a twin turbo W2 small block magnum to a nitrous small block magnum, to keeping the slant 6 is currently on the table. For now the slanter gets it moving so it stays. I guess stay tuned and we’ll all find out together.Looks good! I forget, what are the plans for the wheels, paint and drivetrain?

Would be sweet to see you do the Dodge version of this high revver. Looks like a lot of fun.
