My Trailduster Search Is Over

I'm sold. I might start looking for one. You would definitely have the only one at a local car show. Can't you just see the hater, know it alls telling you that Plymouth never made a truck.
Yep, or all of the "nice Trail Blazer" comments!!!

Wish like Hell I would of kept my bought Brand new 77 Trail Duster 360 ( that I turned into a 360 4 BBL) ... I only have one picture of her.. sigh~
Been trying to find one for years... Had a lot of Fun with her in the Arizona desert...
All I have left is the Glove box owners manual and a "TRAIL DUSTER: badge :(

The Trail Duster that I have been looking to purchase for the last 20 years is a 74 early model.
The early 74 models had the tops of the doors attached to the removable roof. The doors themselves were convertible doors.
Very very very difficult model to find. Only a half year offering. Late 74 models have the standard full frame doors.
I've had lots of ramchargers and a few trail dusters. Not once have I had a chance to buy the convertible top 74.5 version.

Yes, the 74 half door is certainly white buffalo.

A guy who owns a jewelry store near me has 3 of them. I went to get some parts from him and was astonished when I saw them. Only 1 is road worthy, and he'll never sell the other 2 because he'll "get around to fixing them up". We've all heard that before, right?

I've never seen or heard of a factory option for the cab. I've seen several custom conversions. Please post pictures.

I believe the wall that makes up the front of the bed(and the back of cab) is 2 panels thick. I'll check at a later date.

Here you go. It's in East TX close to LA border.
He has the top too.

Had a good week working on the Trailduster.

Got the fuel system installed, with new electric fuel pump and filters for the Holley Sniper. New sending unit, rigged up a DIY vent system with some vapor cannisters I found on Amazon.
Also, had to make a bracket for the skid plate. It was not on the donor truck that I pulled the fuel tank off.

I can't find a correct size clutch rod boot, so I had to get creative.

Also, managed to get the engine & trans in. All in all, it's going pretty good.
