NHL 2024-25

100% agree!
It seems to me that Ryan Hartman has been somewhat of a dirty player for a while now. He took out Nikolai Ehlers last season if memory serves, the refs can't see everything, and will often let **** go until something happens, then there's a fight. I have no issue with an occasional scrap as long as both parties are in agreement, but the cheap shots need to stop, slap the offenders with a suspension equal to the number of games the injured player is out, as you suggested is a very good idea. A small fine for most of these players is like a parking ticket for the average person.

Leafs 2 for 2 in Alberta. And in the Emerald city tonight. Willy scores only his 2nd NHL hat trick against Calgary(where he was born). Both came against Calgary i believe and exactly 8 years apart! To the day!
Happy Belated Birthday to Don Cherry! 91!
How's the Booins and mushmouth Marchand doing? Awesome job as Captain!

Anybody happen to catch last night's game between the two top teams in the league? Me neither since it wasn't broadcast on Sportsnot and the free live stream that I had been using for years no longer works.
Jets and Capitals played in Winnipeg and the Jets won again in overtime 3-2. Ovechkin scored with 4 minutes left in the third period but Nikolai Ehlers fired a rocket to win it about 98 seconds into OT.

Washington has 103 points, Winnipeg 102 as of this morning. Next closest team is Dallas and Vegas with 94.

I've kinda lost all interest in hockey now, thanks to the warm weather, my outdoor projects, and our consistently average, "One & Done" Wild. Most likely I'll catch a few quarterfinal (and up) Cup games, but as for now...

Good luck to your Jets, Randy!

So when it comes to hockey most of you guys are way above my pay scale. You guys grew up watching and playing hockey as where I grew up watching and playing American football. I'm from the high desert on the west side of the state where there hasn't been much hockey. We do have college and youth soccer teams over here now.. Anywho I love hockey and have been a big Avalanche fan ever since they came to Denver, but I have never been to a hockey game of any sorts. So my son and I are going to an Avalanche game on Monday and then a Nuggets game on Tuesday. They play Calgary. I'm so stoked. The Avalanche are playing really , really good going down the stretch.
This is kind of a bucket list thing and it would be a great time to see both the Nuggets and Avalanche while they have such star lineups.

The Avs are having a good season and they made some solid deals to bolster their team for the playoffs. Calgary has been playing decent lately so it should be a good game for you to see in person.
I am not a basketball fan and know next to nothing about the game or the teams but I hope you both have a great experience at both events.

It was funny while driving to CO with Dad and Uncle Ron(RIP to both) to buy 67 cuda, listening to local radio stations, I was impressed with how many stations played high school football games. I know football is bigndown there, but for radio stations to cover has football was cool.
That Uncle that made the trip to CO, just recently passed and while over visiting my Aunt to chk on her there was an Adam Foote Avalanche jersey framed on the wall. VERY COOL. Foote was a beast.
Sorry for rambling, enjoy making the memories!
Avs are a Stanley favorite for sure!
