Post up your Early 64-66 Barracudas!

-
Here's mine! 11.00s @118 in the quarter @500' adj.alt. In the pic it was about 3500' adj. alt. need wheel well chrome anyone got leads?

That is gorgeous! And, quick!

There are a lot of impressive cars here. I got hooked on big window barracudas when I was a kid and saw a photo of the Hemi Under Glass on it's bumper. I had to go right out and get the model kit. I've had three '65s. My first car at age 16 was a 273/4spd. That's the only photo I have of it. I built my second one in 1999. It had a Magnum 380 crate motor and ran high 12s. It was totaled on the 210 freeway in Pasadena in 2000. My current one has a 410 stroker and runs mid 11s.

Here is my 1966. It's been in the family since 1992. My dad had it for many years and now I'm the car's caretaker. I'm in the process of fixing all of the little issues and returning it to the street after over a decade of not really been driven at all. Hopefully soon I'mm have her back cruising the boulevards. I'm just fixing all of the leaks.

My 1965 Formula S. I may sell it this spring, it's in storage right now.

Here's my 65. I've had it 12 years and this will be the first year down the track with my built 273 4spd. Getting its next round of upgrade this year. Headers, thin head gaskets and better ported heads.

I saw your car in the parking lot (and took pics of it last year @ the Sunbust show) Cool ride, love ALL the pics, will get some of mine up ONE day, lol

Picked this up a week ago, after a two-and-a-half month non-stop search for the right car (and seller). 273, 4-speed (or course - I'm English, almost everyone drives a manual), doesn't look like it's ever had a welder near it, doesn't need it now. But it's sat in the Nevada sun for ages so dry-rot aplenty!

It's coming back to the UK with me to get restored, probably not to stock. The plan in the long run is to emigrate out to Nor. Cal. and maybe join the smoke jumpers, so if/when that happens the Barracuda will come back with me.

Cool thread, some beautiful cars on here.

Here are a few pictures of my first 65 Barracuda. Sadly, I sold it after my first daughter was born to take care of family obligations. Today, she is turning 18 and I have another 65 Barracuda out back, waiting to be brought back to life. Here are a few pictures of the first car.
