I know this is from an old post but what does "Low Pad" mean here?
Fronts are 17x8 5.5BS low pad with 245/45/17
Rears are 17x9 5.5BS low pad with 255/45/17

Your car looks great!

It reffers to the shape of the portion of the wheel that connects the hub to the outer wheel. It's shape allows for different size calipers. A low pad design wood be for your stock or smaller brake setups. Weld does a nice job illustrating this on their website
 
Thinking about getting new tires for the Scamp so tried the neighbours tires on for size. 215/70/14 on the front and 225/70/14 on the rear. I know the 215’s are pretty tall and with them on they are very close to the lower front fender edge as I turn the wheels past the fender. Drivers side has less than a 1/4 inch clearance on the front. Not sure I want to grind away the inner edge of the fender for more clearance. The 215’s sure fill up a lot of the front fender.

Not sure what to think of Magnums on the Scamp but they do look good on his Coronet!

I think the magnums look great on your car, and I would keep it to a 205 tire on the front. The 225/70 rear should be fine, I ran them for a couple years on my 70 Dart without issues.
Just my opinion.

28 × 4.5 Hoosiers on 15 by 4 weld drag lites.
29.5 - 11.5 W Hoosiers on 15 by 12 / 2.5 bs weld drag lites.
Some modifications required.

Thanks! 3 year project. Just got the brakes bled last night to pull it out for its first bath! Hasn’t been out of the garage in a long while- just in time to pick up Moms for Mother’s Day dinner tomorrow!

These are 15x9 wheels with 4" bs. Stock 8 3/4 rear but springs were moved in 1/2" (not necessary for these wheels). Tires are 275/60R15

I'm gonna paint the steelies black over the winter and put some 15X5.5 ET slots on the front. Going for a Day 2 look on my "track tires".

I couldn't decide on front rims... so the 14s stay for now... i know some people hate dog dishes so.. only on the front to annoy those that hate them and have OCD :) (rear rims are the wrong dish size)

Love how that car looks... wish i had minitubbed.. can't bring myself to cut up the car though :( Moved my springs in bout 1/2" is all..
It was quite the job. Still working on finishing interior and making the back look "correct...ish". I was happy to not find a "numbers" car for this very reason. I wanna do what I wanna do.

I like the black rears and different fronts. For fun you might try to chalk a line on the rears. (what do they call that line for being able to see spin?)

Yeah, i will probably go with chrome lugs on the back and just be done.. my main thing is when i get tired of the gears and noise i can go back to stock. Plus i will never make enough power to need big tires, just like the look :)
