Purchase of wheels and tires from another member gone bad

This is also across state lines, so the FBI internet crime unit should be contacted. He's had chances to make it right, I say start playing hardball.
 
I requested him as a friend on FB, and he added me! Go figure. So then i sent him a message saying he had a cool car and noticed that he had gotten new wheels and wondered if he had any rallies to sell. Said my dream was some cool rallies with BFG's for my Valiant. We'll see what his response is...

I always make sure I pay with a postal money order. I had a guy in Florida shaft me once. He quit returning emails, calls, etc. so I filed claims and sent emails to anyone that would listen. Post office, FBI, his local police etc.

I then sent him an email with a copy of the complaint where I told the police I wanted to fully prosecute and I would be available to drive from my home for court appearences. I told him, "You dont know who you are messing with. I will spend 1000 dollars to collect the 250 from you or see you in jail. "

He sent the money back asap.

(For the record, that wasnt from this board. It was an ebay deal. )

if you kept all the E-MAIL between you 2 about the deal as proof to what went down by the law you can go to your local court and have him( charged with theft by deception ) i am going thru almost the same crap with someone doing some work for me
 
Sorry to string off topic but Bob (superdart) is a great guy and I aswell as many other people have had great luck dealing with him......so cuda if you had doubts or were scared off by the fact people chimed in to let you know he was a good guy than that is your loss on what I am sure would be a very smooth transaction.

why does everyone always pick on Bob ? LOL

anyhow.....back to the subject at hand...

I think its crap when stuff like this happens.
No I do not see it on Fabo every day but I see enough of these threads to say that it happens to much!!!

Its total crap that people would take advantage of someone like that.....I love FABO and I have had great luck buying and great luck selling but all the people who have "boned" a member should permanently be banned or have a giant red X put on there profile to warn members.

I think there should be some kind of a 2 strikes and your out system associated with members profiles....like under there names where is would say "gold member" and stuff like that....if you see a red X you should be aware the person has been into some trouble, and once they get 2 red X's they should be removed from FABO.

I don't know but I hope something gets figured out and this guy either pays up and gives you the cash back or gives you the wheels, other wise....he will have a bunch of members that know where he lives and a nice pretty red dart sitting on blocks because WE decided that those wheels would be better off in someone elses possession LOL

The officers in Old Town can make life miserable for Jayson. You'll need to take that 8 hour drive and talk to them off duty. Buy donuts, and hand out lottery tickets, anything but actual money, along with pics of him and his car. If he values his drivers lisence he'll have to get right or trade cars.
I learned a long time ago that once a vehicle is marked by the cops, even a new owner cant get away with squat for a while.

Thanks for your help Memike. Jason hasn't been to the site since July 22nd though. I think he may be taken by surprise when he gets his visit.

He might want to avoid car shows, I'm sure there is lot's of people inclined to give his Dart a $699 racing stripe with a key.
 
I just clicked on his avatar (Swinger400hp) and on the right side of his page I clicked on 'show all statistics'. Then on the left of the next page I clicked on 'find all threads started by swinger400hp'. It seems that he has tried to sell/trade 5 sets of tires and rims since June last year. Is there a pattern here? Just sayin'. Hope things work out for you csx452. It sucks to be ripped off, especially since we have a common bond here, a love for old Mopars.
 
Thats Frickin BS ... There should be a special section on this sight ... where LOSERS faces , rides , and the reason they have the LOSER award ...should be posted ..... so when we do meet up with these LOSERS at car shows ... or wherever ... we know the piece of S**T they really are ! That BURNS me up !
There is NO point in keying his car ... he will just get a free paint job from insurance ... BUT if you .... not saying anymore.

I also have a set of ralleys but the are BBP and you can have them. They need restored but the price is right :)
 
He responded to my message assailing him for what he did on facebook, here's the reply:

I then replied that if he is seriously trying to make it right, he should contact the guy he's so far screwed out of $$$
