Warm here today and even warmer tomorrow at 70*. The grass is greening up and starting to grow. It will be time to mow in the next week or so, so now is the time to make sure the lawn maintenance gear is ready to go.

Spooling up all the string trimmer cartridges for the season ahead. 3 done, 3 more to go…

Here is a totally freak occurrence that I would never have thought was possible.

I had an outdoor chair cushion sitting on a box on the back deck and by sheer chance, the sun reflection from two different windows on the house converged on it like a magnifying glass and melted the nylon cover.

I saw it happen. I was sitting in a chair on the other end of the deck when the sudden change in color on the cushion caught my eye. By the time I realized what was happening, it was too late.

I don’t know how far it would have gone if I didn’t grab it and move it.
