RHS flow #'s

-
Thanks guys! That is kind of a hybrid chamber, not open but not closed either, correct?

Yes those are the flow #'s on these heads the way we sell them.
It all depends on the cam as to how much rpm the springs will take. I know they will take .600 lift, and will go at least 6500rpm cause I've done it on 2 engines now.
I'd say they're good for 6800rpm with no float.
Brian

Brian, The set of RHS heads you did for me on the 410 have been taken to 7200 Rpm with no float.........car was still pulling FYI

I don't make a habit of it but it was done!!!

Damn! Now I wish I would have waited. I bought a set of Mopar Performance hand ported iron heads back in 2000 and my engine is still not done! Haven't had them flowed yet. They are advertised at [email protected] lift at peak. Exhaust flow data is not published. I'm more interested in low and mid lift flow.

Why am I not surprised!! LOL!!

Brian, your stated price of these with 2.02's is a heck of a deal! But I'm curious as to what price the 1.92 versions would be with the same spring?

I'd have to do it differently but I'd guess maybe 50.00 less...Maybe!

Thanks for the info ... I will be talking to ya when the time comes.

MadDart, what cam and rockers are ya runnin?

Hughes Solid Flat Tappet HEH 5660as I think it is 256@50/.614 lift intake - 260@50/.626 lift exhaust installed at 103CL and 106LCA Cool Face lifters with oil metering hole, Manton RACING 3/8 Pushrods with 5/16 hardened tips that oil through " The pushrods are not cheap crap and look BAD *** different than your standard pushrod" and HUGHES 1.6 Complete Rocker set up with Banana Shafts and their hold down kit.

Yeah man, I've been to the Manton shop. They made me a set of custom pushrods on a sunday when I juat happen to catch them in the shop. I was in a bind and they hooked me up. Good people.
Are you still running the springs that came with heads? (I'm guessing you are)

Yes they are set up EXACTLY how Brian did them. The only difference is I have the Ported Versions of the INDY/RHS Heads. Thing comes on like a Jumbo Jet torque wise.......no B.S

That's killer man! Can you imagine how a 318 (stock or stroked to 392) would run with those heads, a mild clay smith solid turbo grind and a fat turbo!?!?

And we've gotta get together next time we go out to socal....

Yes that would haul some *** for sure!

I am picking up all the machine work, Block and RHS Heads from Brian on a 318 based 359 this Friday. I will hopefully have the bottom end together this weekend.

Just found out the crank was not a 3.58, it was a 4.0 so instead of a 359 it is now going to be a 402CI Monster! Can we say 500hp with these heads??

I think it will come down to the correct cam choice as to how close it will get!

We made 485HP with our little 410 using that comp 295HL hyd. cam and same heads. Open the pushrod pinch up, and use a Holley 950HP and it should make 500HP. With an rpm intake as well!!

These heads are definatly the best bang for the buck! Im definatly going to be looking to get a pair fully set up soon :evil4:

Could you post a picture of the heads fully set up and ready to go? =P~

I thought you had pistons cut down?
that would point at a 349.

no big, just not a small thing to forget.lol

so you saying you got a 4'' bore 318 with 4'' crank, right?

well if all's good on the sonic check it won't distort + side thrust=boom.

cool.

Yes 4" Bore, Brian checked it all out and it is good. I switched to 360 pistons to go with the 3.58 crank I thought I had when I found out it could be bored to 4.0..........Butttttt then the crank was found out to be a 4.0 so switched the pistons out to forged KB units and now it is a 402

Justin, this is one of the blocks I got from you!!

oh good!

glad to see it's going to good use.

was it the '71 cast or the later '70's truck block?

where did the crank come from, used?

Crank was new in the box when I bought it from an old school circle track guy. I guess he was pretty old sold me a 4.0 thinking it was a 3.58?

I used the Stock Bore block, dont remember the year.
