I have suggested it several times. In the case of someone getting ripped off, the person that got ripped off would start a thread, and it will get locked. The only other party that would be able to respond would be the seller, they would have to contact a moderator to do so, perhaps send his response to a moderator thru the pm system. I understand we have a feedback system, but it does not get used by everybody. I have made several purchases that never had feedback left. A member recently contacted me about getting ripped off by someone, his deal was made thru pm's, no sale ad was used. So other than starting a rant thread, which will get lost eventually, the only person that knows about the thief is me.

yea that was a little rough, but man i tell you, i just dont understand why people have to be such lying POSs. i have been screwed with , and luckily i was able to get it worked out. we work hard for our money and these people that take advantage of good peoples trust and rip them off just really gets to me.

I believe if they were not purchased thru a sale ad here feed back can not be left. That is why I feel we need a separate forum for things of this nature. Each thread will be locked, so they do not get out of hand. The powers that be do not agree with me though....6 months from now this will all be forgotten and the offending party very well might do it again.....

Then again, the same item I responded to on ebay for the race prepped 360-1 Indy heads WAS listed on here, you can still find the ad here from late november...

All the shitt I read on this site about Ebay,yet try to cut corners and get shafted,and now you don't have a leg to stand on !!Hmmm,shoulda payed thru Paypal !!Only one time did I not receive the product I purchased,and Ebay got my money back for me !!! I BELIEVE !!! Sorry for you getting fucked over,but there are STILL A LOT OF ASSHOLES OUT THERE ,that obviously will screw you over and not give a rats *** that they did !!!!!
 
I'm talking to another member via PMs who has been taken for the tune of $2800 from these guys. I won't mention who because he is giving them till the middle of the week to get **** sorted, after that he will be going after them by any means he can think of. He hasn't had a response from them for 3 weeks, at least he is an American and can have a better shot at retribution then me. I feeling pretty lucky now that the heads even arrived.

Moderators...can you check marks340 acct and see if he has checked his PMs in the last week? At least we can tell if he is alive and around?

That's why you use paypal or a USPS money order. Paypal you can always get your money back. A USPS money order has both names, both addresses, and and what it's for. So only the person with the name on it can cash it with proper ID... So if they do screw, you have a leg to stand on. I would take it to a small claims court. I would take somebody to court if they ripped me off for a couple hundred dollars. Sorry it happened to you man, sucks!
 
Did you say they are in Dana Point, CA.? I live 1/2 hour away and can go by there for you if you want. Just give me an address and I'll run by and put them in check.

Paypal or credit card is the 2 best ways to pay. You really have no more saftey with a USPS money order. I paid a guy with a USPS money order and made him sign for it and still got screwed to the tune of $490.00. It would have cost me more than that to fight it out with a lawyer, so I lived and learned.
I am very sorry for the OP for getting taken advantage of and anyone else, as I know that it sucks. Hopefully marks340 will make things right with the people that he has taken advantage of.

My buddy got ripped off for more than that.
He lost $9500 on a whole motor from http://www.aspenrt.com/
This is no joke. He got his trust by sending some small parts then got the
Big cash on a stroker motor and never sent it or repaid my friend.

This right here. This is what we need more of. Accountability. These hoohas think that because this is the internet that they can do whatever they want to. Man if I was out there, I'd ride with you. Maybe get a few more members in the area to go with you. The FABO possee. You caint get away.

I had a guy try to take me for a ride on my Ex's wedding ring (I found him on eBay where he had good feedback, but I bought from him outside of eBay). I google-mapped his address, pulled up street view, and called him. I told him flat out that a plane ticket was only a tenth of what he'd ripped me off for (I told him the flight number and airline, too), and that I'd be in New York by 3pm Eastern Time Zone that day to drag him into the alley next to his store if he didn't authorize the refund in the next hour.

Refund time: 36 minutes.

I won't go outside of eBay or without Paypal again, and I still prefer face-to-face transactions, even as a seller.

I won't condone physical violence to solve a conflict, but people forget how close someone can be in just a few hours if they're dedicated.

LMAO I had a similar problem. While talking on the phone I explained in a real civilized voice how he's probably dealt with people yelling, screaming and threatening him over the phone and they never back it up. I then explained that I was getting into my car in the next few minutes and would be there in a short time and he would see how aggressive and threatening I can be in person. He immediately started back peddling and swearing that he would refund the $3000+ dollars he screwed us out of. I gave him 24 hours to straighten things out or he would deal with a big guy that is EXTREMELY aggressive and he wouldn't like my visit. Yup, I got my refund.
 
I wouldn't want to see anyone hurt, but wouldn't mind seeing him look very nervous as he empties his wallet!!!

i used paypal and they only protect you for 35 days, what a crock.

stupid me i order an exhaust system for my car from another guy and that went south in a big hurry again, good thing it was only $220 instead of $8400. again excuse after excuse.

i feel your pain as it is so very hard not to think about it day after day, it makes me puke thinking people are out there doing this.

You must be Dusmons friend he spoke of, I was just talking on the phone with him about your story,,,what a couple of thieving pricks. Sorry to hear you got shafted so badly. The stuff I keep hearing about the luckier I feel,,,then again my heads haven't been checked out yet, might be total garbage.
