that's true! I REALLY like those RHS iron heads! You could buy some real nice heads and intake for what you would spend on stroking what looks like a nice short block right now.

the heads I'm going to get will be done pieces - no pieced together stuff -My ex boss just prepped a set of 1.92 RHS head set,Flowed [email protected] lift, nice heads. You may wanna email 0u812,MRL performance,or RAMM here. All are excellent engine builders, and head porters.Might be cheaper to buy a finished set, than to piece a set in parts.
I plan on it as soon as my 83 Stang is gone!Go git er,son.
however, to mount a BB you will need to spend extra money.

this is good info THANKS!!It's by far, not even close to being cheaper. $100-150 for springs, and the 2.2 keepers were next to free. 1.92 Heads were $640 for the pair from Summit. Valve seals came with my rebuild kit. If you have money to burn, be my guest. I've got to say, it was pretty damn easy to lap the valves in and run it... $750-800 for the set.
They want $1600 assembled? Mighty proud aren't they?
I don't see a whole lot of difference in power on a 360 between the 1.92 vs 2.02. Not to justify twice the price.
Not trying to be a dick here, just giving a helping hand.
I'll probably still go the 2.02" route but will definitely be putting them together myself... plus it gives me an excuse to buy toolsNo problem, hope I'm not being too dominating here, just like to see hard earned money stay in pockets. The world seems to be designed to take your money, if I've truly helped, press the thanks button.
Tear up that street!

i voted for the small block. Why go for the extra weight on the front end.
Can make the same amount of power with the smaller version.
Just my 2 cents worth.

a 440 w/alum heads weighs the same as an all iron SB
