I'm looking at a sheet metal intake. I have a super victor ported by PBR that i have been using.
Do sheet metal intakes perform well?

usually all out racing stuff....and pricey. If i´d run such an intake i´d use the 2x4 top plate. Is it done by hogan´s for a LA Head or W stuff?

That will only work good with the dual 4bbl plate where it draws directly down each runner. The dual 4bbl plate looks thin like it was a home made after thought for 2 dominators after the single 4 didn't work that great.

Here is a plate that has reinforcements for the carbs welded in under the risers.

If that sheet metal intake is for LA (not W) heads it will most likely be better than any head you put below it. In any configuration.

I'd say it depends on what's under it. Id PBR (RIP) ported the one you have now, it's probably a pretty damn good match for what you have.

I even like the single 4 top with the pent roof. I bet it works. That’s really the only way to get a single 4 to work on a tunnel ram. Hogans knows their ****.

I had a Victor W2 with a cooling setup like that. Had reverse cooling that ran through the center freeze plus as well. Never should have sold it. Live and learn.
