Show us your Convertible Dart's

-
Updated pics of my 65 coming tomorrow. If all goes well it will be the first time it moves on its own power in 20 years. I'm like a kid on Christmas Eve you guys know the feeling.

All these cool verts make me want to get out the sawsall and cut the roof off of my Dart!!

Can someone take pictures of the moldings where the convertible top and rear curtain connect? My car came without a top but a box full of the trim pieces so I want to make sure I have them since my top is on the way.

Hey guys I got my top in today and it looks good. Can someone tell me what this is for though? It's the only piece I'm not sure about. Is it a header pad? It's a long piece of round foam wrapped in top fabric.
Thanks
Joel

that piece(yellow letters) and should be sewn on the ends to stop water collection goes UNDER the header seal metal channel(purple line) so that when you put the top up and latch it the seal gets hidden.(purple arrow)

so if it isn't on the car now you have to remove the header seal , metal channel and corner pieces (metal also) add the seal and reverse assembly.
hope this helps .

Just got back from a Sunday cruz with a smile on my face.

Heres my friends 66 Dart Gt vert, took him 25 years to put it together!

I thought I would at least see one of the 70 swinger style. I love them the most when done right. Dodge should have made them.

Isn't it against the law to have a 'vert at a car show with the top up? Might as well have a hardtop. And to have 2 'verts with the top up? Isn't that a felony?

No the felony is having a convertible with the top down and windows up. Hate seeing someone drive down the road with the windows up and top down. Told my daughter when she got her 1st car that I would sell it if I seem her drive it with the windows up and top down.

It was a cool day, the cloth top on my Dart looks great and for a long time I left it up to show it off

some top down for your pleasure ........... LOL

My mustang is my daily driver, didn't really want a convertible, but the price was right. This is the 3 rd summer for owning it, last year top was down once, this year NOT YET and probably won't be unless my daughter drives it

In Florida... have to ride with the top up on some days just due to the intense heat! Especially in the middle of the day- you can feel/smell your skin baking. Cant wait til I can afford that new ac system. Always down in the am and late afternoons though... and windows only up on highway (which isnt often).

Ride is lookin good Larry! and Burdar- great find! Was it a local purchase or did you get it out of state?

I was looking for a project at the Nat's and saw this one on a show board. A guy about an hour away from me had it. It's been in Iowa for a few years but originally came out of Nevada.

Finally got the top on... Yes I see the wrinkles. Ou live and you learn first time putting a top on and couldn't afford what they wanted to charge. It's a driver and I'm happy with it.
