Show Your Big Block A body!

Sure is a great example of a wild '70s paint job. Most haven't held up that well.

This car when I bought it it was sitting for 6 yrs in a garage. 3 yrs ago I have the white reprinted and I clear coated it. But the airbrush graphics are all original. Car has some history behind it.

Nice clean 440 Engine, What is that steel Frame wall on the front of the engine called? I been looking around but had no luck finding it. I would like to get one of those, Thanks .:happy10:

Are you referring to the motor plate? Not sure who makes that particular one. AR Engineering makes a similar style.

Only pictures I have before the wheels/tire swap, repainting grille. No engine shots yet but getting close.:D

Here is mine.

This is the day I bought the car. It was set up to be a show car and sat very low to the ground. It looked awesome, but it was un-driveable. It was tough getting it up on my trailer.

It had rear coilovers and homemade ladder bars in the rear, and the torsion bars were dropped about as low as they could go. This is after I raised it up front and rear. It was better in the fact that I wasn't bottoming out everywhere anymore, but the rear suspension had no travel and it drove like crap.

Since then I did a total front end rebuild, replaced the coilovers and ladderbars with monoleafs and caltracs with a 3" spring relocate. The car sits and drive great now.

The car has a stock 76 440 in it. The only performance things it has is a set of 915 heads, Edelbrock RPM intake, Holley 750, 2800 stall, and a 3.91 suregrip. Low compression motor takes it down the track at a best of 13.42 @ 99mph. That will change this winter hopefully.

Hey y'all...appologize as I haven't been on here in a while and just now seeing there's been a few comments on the Dart. Attached is a link to more picts and since posting it's finally running (why I haven't been on here much ;o)). Have some electrical bugs to work out and a tranny issue so it's coming back out. But all things considered it's come together nicely.
The motor plate is from Mancini Racing and has the proper offset of the motor built into it (for TTI exhaust). http://chucker54.stores.yahoo.net/moplstmi.html

Hi Troy,
Yes; we'll definitely have to visit. Saw your Dart at the Automobilia show as you were heading out....Nice ride! I didn't get down there till late and many had left given the storms and wicked lightening in the area. Work has me crazy busy right now (for which I'm thankful) and I intend to pull tranny end of October. Once I'm back up and running again will give you a shout
