my sleeper, 431, 727, dana 60. full street trim, 11.81@112. 10 years of owning it, the sleeper theme got kind of old, should have paint by the end of august.
good looking 72 duster you have. what size wheel tire and back spacing are you running and did you do any rear end work? i mean like Minni tube or move the springs in to get them to fit? thanks Mopar65
Its running L60-15 Mickey Thompson Sportsmans, I don't know the back spacing, I bought the car that way, but I do know I has too much backspacing, I have to run air shocks to keep the car from rubbing the lip on the quarters, I plan to relocate the leaf springs, mini-tub it and run some a cal-trac set up or something, I thought about going 4 link from Unlawful, but for 4 grand I am just thinking about sticking with a stock style set-up. Its got a good old school look don't get me wrong, but for drag racing, once a clear up some room on the back side of the wheels they are gone, I am going to order some new wheels and tuck them up under to car better, and run a wider tire. I like the look of the Alumastar 2.0s in Black, and throw some Mickey Thompson E/Ts on it. Time will tell lol, I will probably just go cheap on the wheels and reorder a prostar with less back spacing, and toss the sportsmans.
Guess I missed this thread too.
1972 Scamp, fully restified, late model 440, 727 and a 9". Sassy Frass and sitting on cop wheels.
To be honest it will be awhile before I get to tackle putting that job together, I am in the process of redoing a truck and have to get it done, as it is what is going to pull my duster to the track. So my main priority is spending all my cash into it, and it probably be late spring or early summer before I get it done. If you still have them after that time, we might can talk, or you decide to sell, but right now I couldn't really do it and wouldn't want to leave the car on jack stands lol.well its hard to see in the pic but to me they look like they only have around 3 inches of back spacing that is if they are a 15x10 wheel. If you can get me the measurements i might be interested in trading wheels? i have some weld pro stars that are 15x10 with 6.5 inches of back spacing. i know with these wheel and if you move your springs in 3 inches , you can run a M/T 29.5x11.5x15 slick. that's what my buddy had on his 1973 dart sport.
