Need to find a starter. Engine has 14: 1 compression. What are the best options. What are you guys using?

Speak of the devil LOL...I usually buy one for a mid 90's Dakota. Used or New, Never an issue.
Somebody besides me told you to do that, because if I would have said it, you'd never had done it.... until you called two professionals and a moderator..Speak of the devil LOL...

No idea a hemi era starter still fit an old school mopar? Any benefit vs the "normal" mopar mini?Actually... get one from a 2005-2008 Dodge Ram with a 5.7 and a MANUAL transmission, as the automatic one is different.

Very cool!
Awesome description and pics. Thanks! As long as the solenoid doesn't interfere with headers...seems like a win winThe starter from an 05-08 Ram with 5.7 and a manual trans is physically smaller then all the rest of the common mini starters because it is a coaxial starter—the motor axis is the same as the drive axis—which makes it more compact than the regular mini starters, which are offset starters. (The motor axis is outboard of drive axis).
Unlike the other starters, this one has one of its 2 mounting holes threaded. Drill out the threaded hole so it’s plain.
