My oldest son slammed a finger in a door a day or two before the Mopar Nats one year... We went to the Nats and he swam in the hotel pool for 4 -5 hours straight and the nail loosened up and fell off...
We had to get out of the pool and go to the drug store to get some bandages to put on it... We lost our room key and had to wait in line at the front desk to get a spare (still dripping wet in our suits - {don't picture that})... Then finally go the drug store to get the bandages....
It seemed like hours in line with his finger hurting so much....

I once closed my right middle finger tip including the full finger nail in a heavy solid wood garage door when lowering it. My finger was trapped between the second and third panel and the door locked when it hit bottom. The few minutes before my friend could open it from the inside felt like a life time of searing pain.
The door had a big oval dent in the joint between the panels where my finger was trapped that my friend made me sign my name next to in permanent marker.
You know they a true friend when they make you do stuff like that.

Trudging up to truck pulling trailer by hand. Momentum carried it too far, split ny finger open like a grape. Was a mess. Almost the same thing jacking up a trailer, fell off block and boat filled with water,somehow another finger got caught when trailer slipped off jack. Then i bailed the boat and did it right the second time.

I forgot to post this. It’s a really cool LED moon globe that I got for Christmas. It’s about 12” in diameter and has a rechargeable power source. It lasts about 20 hours on a single charge.

Yep, I really like it. You can change the color from a pale blue to a warm glow depending on your mood.
I want to find a 4’ diameter one to replace the chandelier in our entrance hallway that is 20’ high. I think it would be cool as hell!
