Stop in for a cup of coffee

Nachos and spam sound good right about now
Spam personal best, as a Marine hanging out in a cave our squad ate spam for 19 days straight morning and night. Cans dated from Korean War. We were just hanging out waiting to get turned loose and do our thing. Nothing says we will eat anything like a 18 year old kid scared to death and starving at the same time. Have never ate it since!

Got the rear cleaned up yesterday. Looking for axel seals and the foam gaskets for the backing plate one side is missing it. Cannot find the foam ones anywhere prob have to make them.
7 1/4? I wonder if Dr Diff can help?

I love that skit... I recorded it back in the 80's from the Dr. Dimento show....
You're right!! I thought I first heard it on SNL, but now I remember!
And me too. I didn't record that one, but still have at least on 60 minute cassette full of oddities.
:):p:eek:

Need to find someone to fix the cassette decks this year.

Wow that sucks! It was in everything in HI. Still love it though. The hot and spicy is pretty awesome in a omelet.

I have eaten it straight out of the can.

Not sure if one is supposed to do that but I am still alive so can't be that bad.

I ate it out of the can while I was on a long road trip and there was no frying it and that was all I had available.
Like the scene in Road Warrior!?

I was able to buy those a few years ago. But yea, the first time I assembled the axle I made those dust seals from thin styrofoam packing sheets.

Where's Ben?

Good morning! I’m off today and plan to putz in the shop, put away Christmas stuff and hang up some more MoPar memorabilia on the walls

We ate a lot of C-Rations in the day from the 50's. MRE's were awful no matter how much hot sauce you added.
The worse thing the military did was getting rid of the field kitchen and cooks.
Ya I know they wanted to be lighter and quicker.
They forgot though that we fight on our stomach.
Bad food for long periods has an affect on you!!

We used to get pretty creative with MRE's. Garlic salt was the cure! Always had it with me.
