Stop in for a cup of coffee

Whats the job?
Boring legal stuff with courts.

If my real dream came true then I would be telling you guys about opening rainy day auto, a 15,000 square foot facility with a tow truck, a tire machine and balancer, and 6 bays with lifts and 2 paint booths and a paint mixing room, with a loft with all the fabric to reupholster 100 cars and a my industrial machine and a full time staff member there....... yea, not that cool

Congrats on new job. You will rock it.
So FABO buddy Fred just left my shop. Good thing he brought a designated driver! Darn guy cleaned me out of bourbon yet again! He did however bring yummy dog treats for Hemi and let me pick his brain on body work prep. Let's just say my wife is not enamored with my painting skills and has made a pretty forcible request I actually pay someone who knows what they are doing to paint the Demon as it is a daily driver and not a race car. I am trying to do as much as I can to help defray the costs on painting. My apologies in advance to any of the professional painters on here but all y'all are squirrels and very proud of your work. I know I know, I don't like the price paint it myself. I get it. I need only look at the things I have painted to reinforce the fact I need to pay someone who actually knows how to paint and has a booth. I typically hang some visquiene, hose down the floor and have at it. Yep never trust a farmer with a paint gun. I will pay to have a "real" paint job on the Demon. But holy smokes a jug of paint is pricey.

Is your demon a 71 or 2?

72, I am stuffing a 6.1 Hemi in it. I have a build thread going on it
72 is my favorite demon. I have 2 72s and one 71.

The better 72 of the pair was originally B1 sky blue. The rougher one was originally Y1 top banana.

The 71 is actually my dad's car and was an original J6 sassy grass car.

They are all needing paint and restoration as of now

Mine will be Sublime! I think the Demon tailights are best Mopar ever did!

Has anybody came up with a plug and play computer or do you have to use a oem one and wiring harness?
There are actually several ways to go about it. I searched high and low at Mopars in the Park last year for folks that had done similar builds and only found two cars. One I could not ever find owner and the second guy simply did not know anything as he had just got his check book out and bought it. Any way long story short I chose to reflash the OEM box then utilize a Dakota dash and a wiring harness from Hot Wire in Ark. so I guess mine is a hybrid if you will. The wiring will really give you fits. I real electrician could probably have done it easier but I had to make a board seperate and label it all to sort it out. If you want some detail PM me and I will be happy to share all of my mistakes and learnings. I think the swap is getting more and more common. The LS boys are way ahead of us for aftermarket support. But then we would all drive camaros right? Ewwww

That is really cool. I always liked the 71s better. Mostly for the side marker lights. I like them flush/recessed.

Looks like I'm in chit on Facebook....

I am so glad to be rid of Facebook.

It is very time consuming, I loved the car groups there but it's a full time job to see and read everything. I wasn't getting much else done. The chat was nice and convenient.

I will probably never go back to it. Fabo is enough

I was wondering if you closed it or unfriended me. LOL

I have never had FB. No interest whatsoever..FABO and Linkedin..that's all

I have an account, but rarely post and don't read much of what others post. Recently getting friend requests from a bunch of HS classmates who 'found' me. Then I get stupid pop up notifications to delete... PITA mostly

I always favored the 72 because of the grille :)

The 72 grill is very nice and I see you point. Subtle little things make it all. I would never knock a Demon, either one, but the side markers make the difference for me here
