I think I made a good decision. Looks like it's rainin' at the asphalt oval, more so than here. For now.

On a positive note, the cam and lifters look good to me!

Why yes, yes they are! Except for the bottom right, that one is round and looks new. The funny thing is the one that failed looks like a new one also. I forsee rollers in my very near future.I don’t have my glasses on but are those rocker shaft holes oblonged?
That what I was thinkin'I don’t have my glasses on but are those rocker shaft holes oblonged?
Yeah or even Crane ductile ones. Which is what I plan to run.Why yes, yes they are! Except for the bottom right, that one is round and looks new. The funny thing is the one that failed looks like a new one also. I forsee rollers in my very near future.
So they failed in slightly different ways. Why yes, yes they are! Except for the bottom right, that one is round and looks new. The funny thing is the one that failed looks like a new one also. I forsee rollers in my very near future.
What do you mean by running out of room?So they failed in slightly different ways.
Well it doesn't seem to be a matter of oiling. Either spring pressures or running out of room...
Just that. Pushrod pushing up but do to angles or valve spring binding the rockers can't rock any more. What do you mean by running out of room?
There seem to be 2 different rockers, most likely original and a few new. My guess would be the builder couldn’t find all the original rockers and had to replace a few.
New!Which group does the one that had the catastrophic failure fit in?
