Stop in for a cup of coffee

Wow that would be a mess trying to plan a vacation. We have five school districts in our city/county and they all follow the same schedule for school breaks etc.. Of course we don't have year round school here.

66 and raining here on the hill, a lite rain, just right to go spend some time in the shop, a small mess to clean up from Sunday, my late brothers birthday/super bowl gathering.. we will see how it goes today, I feel much better and on my feet..

Farmed out the morning latte to McD's this morning. Truck said it's 30* outside. For as long as it took the frost to melt, I see no reason to question it.

Ha ha ha...don't think for a second the rest of us believe you have frost in CA...frost...ya right :p
The only frost I've seen from out there was the look on Pelosi's face last night during the speech.

I bet it's a little frosty in Pomona this morning too. Just in time for the Winternationals . More than one occasion I've set there freezin' (in California terms) my butt off watching the early qualifying rounds on Saturday .

mid 40's. 50 tomorrow. 55 Friday. Rain on and off starting this afternoon till Friday. Back below freezing Fri night, but not showing any pecip for the weekend.

Was at work. So didn't watch. I'm sure I could catch 27 versions of recap if I scan the tube this morning. But, prob won't happen. I will just take in whatever they throw up on the regular news.

I think our predicted high will beat yours by 6 or 7 today :rofl:As long as it doesn't get windy I can deal with that. Might have to use the muffler round my neck if I go for a ride.

Went outside to find about 3” of snow. And still carryin on.
Felling a little dehydrated so stopped for a drink of water.
Truck on hoist was packed with ice and snow, with it over 60 in here its like a sauna.

I went to the Harley shop yesterday to see if there was any new technology. For the first time in a long time they had model that just stopped me dead in my tracks. I wouldn't even sit on for fear I'd start thinkin' about which bank account to rob.

And as usual I can tell you what follows this nice break is nasty...freezing rain and COLD!!!

I don't plan to work under the car today, so I hope I don't end up with a muffler around my neck. lol
Speaking of which, I had a friend that had a car come down on him a few weeks ago. Miraculously, it crushed his skull but didn't cause any brain damage. I have a few after photos.

Not sure I need to see any pics, but what was supposed to be holding it up?

I believe a air jack of some sorts. He works at home and obviously didn't have stands underneath.

I was helping my boss set a lift under a car, something unusual that didn't have any really good lifting points. It did have running boards I remember that. I was on the floor watching had my hand on top of the lift far away from the contact point so I could adjust if needed, or so I thought. The vertical edge of that running board was a little lower than I calculated, as the lift rose it grabbed on of my fingers. I knew my new nickname was going to be Stumpy. It only got flesh no bone, never bled, didn't break the skin but pinched a funny looking V in the flesh. Smushed it back into shape iced it for a while. Even though it didn't break the skin it left a V shaped scar.
