I rarely nap, but tried it (with little success) today. Just feeling really tired and it's almost time to go to work.

Well darn...talked to Ray's person who thought he had the carb I needed. Turns out he had a 4299s. That's like the fourth one I've come across. He has a carb shop with plenty more in storage. He said he'd look. I'll keep looking, confident I'll find it.
Let's go back to the beginning, Don't you have the correct carb on the car now?
No aftermarket Edlebrock. Carter carb is all I need to complete the original look.
Have you searched #4-282 (rebuilt number) or 64-1033 (new carb/reman)
I will try to remember to look at Jeff's collection when he gets back from Arizona in a month. Try to remind me.
Got to go out on the MTI Merc Racing boat today. Twin 300R race motors. Ran 100mph even with 5 people in it and light chop. What a ride! Lots of air.

Nope hadn't seen those yet. Chrysler part number for the 4298 was 2843104.
