I just discovered that you can find every image you have ever posted under “My attachments”

I was amazed to find that I have posted 5052 images since I joined a little over 3 years ago!

So you saw you saw that post by Leroy.
I guess we ought to thank him. :poke:
Maybe do up a pic of his car...
no thanks needed Im here to help

Tell him to be careful, might be a car in that drift.
It's funny that you mention that I was talking to an old friend last night whose dad used to run the motor grader for the county and he was talking about big snow storms and having to get the big snow blower out. Apparently the operator forgot to poke around in the snow drift to see whether there was any cars inside and he ground through the back half of a Datsun LOL

so no real cars were hurt :D

Hey MeMike re-painting the air cleaner...wrinkle paint. I didn't like how it turned out.
This time I bead blasted it and removed the old paint. There was a lot of paint.
Old MOPAR buddy told me this time to paint and bake.
First and second coat put it in the oven at 250 for five minutes. Third coat 20 minutes, again at 250.
Said it will harden the wrinkle and keep it standing up. Said he'd done it several times using that type of paint.
Lucky me the wife said go for it just wait until she's gone to work...haha!!
I'll let you know.
You'll officially have one in the oven!

Put a new oil switch on the Neon yesterday (along with oil and filter change). Getting to the switch to wrench it out was easier than I thought. Just reach down over the back of motor. Getting the wire off, not so much. I hate these connectors. You know, the slide the little red tab and squeeze type. Usually its the tab that is the problem. I thought it was out and still couldn't get the other part to release. So a yanked the tab out and it still wouldn't release. Ended up breaking the big tab off. Then got it started loose by twisting a big pry driver under the edge. Finally get it and the wire pretty much falls off the harness. Could see it was twisted and hanging on by a couple strands. Got ahold of enough wire to crimp it together. Connector is just slid on new switch. Will have to see if I can get one at the yard without breaking it. Need to disconnect everything in back of motor so I can pull that section of the harness up and re cover/tape. Oil was nasty -must have been a while since that was changed.

Nope. All this for dependable transportation.
Really can't complain. Would be nicer if the weather was a bit warmer. But, I actually like working on this car. Parts are relatively cheap. There are a bunch of them in local yards that have GOOD parts on them. I love going to yards and pulling parts (go Karl). Not much of that happening for A-bodies anymore. Searching online just doesn't scratch the itch! LOL

Also, the secondary plan if timing and finances allow. The Neon might go to my daughter and I get something else eventually.

Hi mike, the wife and I are heading that way in a few weeks. Flying into Moline and driving up to Dubuque. Should I rent the AWD this time?
You should be good as long as it doesn't snow 10" and blow 50 mph. LOL

Don't think I want to add anything to draw attention to it.
(There is a matching spoiler in local yard I could have for $15)
Already bright red. lol
Lots of left over parts after corporate stopped supporting the various road race series. SCCA ddin't really have a good home for them, unlike say old Pintos or Sprigets. But for a time they were almost as popular for cheap road racing the Miati have become.
