Stop in for a cup of coffee

Going to go get the car trailer and put a new cable on the winch and get it cleaned up.
Need to do some more clean up on the car today.
Frig/freezer isn't cooling right so a tech is scheduled for later this afternoon.
After that have a fancy dress up lawyer's dinner with the wife tonight.
She serves a state board for a lawyers association.
What about you!!

This morning we meet with our builder and look at/sign build contract and hopefully the materials list is ready to look at/give to bank so the appraisal can be ordered. After work I'm gathering up Duster parts to take down with car in hauler to body shop for estimate. I'm borrowing a buddy's hauler, would love to get my car body work started and return the trailer.

I am watching grass grow. In my yard. I mowed the area the dog 'waters' the other day. Might have to do the whole thing by this weekend.

Good Morning All. We ended up with 4-5" of very wet heavy snow on the cars. Only 1.5" or so on the sidewalks and roads - mostly slush. Very windy but overall better than I expected. They are saying there is a chance of thunderstorms this evening. May all melt out today/tonight. That would be nice, but now we have a covering of salt on all the roads again.

Salt on the roads is great when its saving your Azz from ice. But the residue sucks. Hopefully you get a brief gully washer to clean it up.

I made an interesting connection last night....
I need to change the oil in my riding mower. It's a 20hp Kohler. Have always just bought the Kohler brand filter at Sears for about $10. With Sears out of the picture I start looking where I can get it. Can get the Kohler online for as low as $8, but just wanted to go pick one up. Tractor supply wants $12. Thinking this thing cant be that special.. Well, it's not. Pretty much every filter name has a cross reference to it. Figured I would see if AZ carries them. So I put the Purolator # in their search. Comes back with the little header statement " This part is an exact match for your 2003 Dodge Neon"
GTFO!

Yup ...My 22HP Kohler on my John Deere, uses a 84352 Carquest filter, made by Wix...Been using em for 25 yrs on that tractor....But, I'm Parts Guy...LOL

Not to be not picky but did you know for 1969 they were not supposed to have the GTS emblems AND the stripe.

The emblems only came on stripe delete cars.

The stripe was standard on a GTS so the ones with the emblems shouldn't be as common because the original buyer had to specify, but a lot people restore GTS cars and put the emblems and the stripe, but it is supposed to be one or the other.

While it is generally correct that it was usually one or the other, it wasn’t always true. My GTS was originally a stripe delete car but it didn’t get the fender badges either. There are also examples of cars on the GTS registry that got both the stripe and fender badges from the factory.

Probably do some more on my tree cleanup this morning. But, need to slow the pace a little. Two days of that followed by full nights at work and I am feeling beat up. Doesn't help that I am flying solo for half my shift. The guy that usually works with me had been off for kidney stone removal. Supposed to be back Monday. Have had a day shifter staying over half the shift each day. But the last 4 hours of the night it's been all me. I usually show 7-9K steps per day on my phone. Last night was 11K. Night before was almost 16K.

Dang, and I just tossed a filter out that was for my PT Cruiser. I just bought a Wix for my John Deere/ Kawasaki V twin. I was a bit disappointed. It was slightly shorter and didn't have the flats on the end so I had to use a strap filter wrench. It was really a pain. Next time I will get a JD filter and the correct cup type wrench.
