I have one tstat for Heat pump/AC and oil burner is on same as 'emergency' heat. Unless something is very wrong, only one can be on at a time.I have forgotten to shut off the thermostats for our heat and when the a/c comes on so will the heat.

The heat is a 4 zone system (boiler/hot water heat) The A/c is separate with a air handler and duct work. mines about 110-155 electric year from about march thru October, then we switch to propane which is about 350-500 bucks per winter, from Nov to Feb/March, but the electric typically stays around the 150 mark during the winter.I always wondered how gas and electric bills were throughout the country, mine are averaged at $83 electric and $68 gas WNY...
