Stop in for a cup of coffee

Hey all. So thinking I will be heading that was early next month. Still have to make sure Dave is ok with that, want to beat the snow for sure...And Ray, thinking spending a night there,
We rarely get snow until very late December. Last year, late November snows and cold was unusual.

We had a bolt action 22 and a single shot 410 when I was growing up. Great kids guns.

I still have the vintage Winchester .22 bolt gun my dad grew up with. Tack drivin' sonuvagun it is. When I was about 10 I was looking at the broken stock, right in the pistol grip area, that had been that way since my father was young. "If ya don't like it that way, fix it." he tells me. Friction tape was the outer layer. I peeled the tape off to find what looked like piano wire wrapped and twisted around the grip. This will never do, where is that epoxy? Stripped the rifle down finish and all, epoxied it, stabilized it so the crack wouldn't spread before the epoxy set, smoothed it out and varnished it. Looked better than Winchester's finish. The bluing was mostly gone but that's the way I liked it no light reflection that way.
I got to look up that model # and see when that thing was built.

Been waiting almost two weeks for some tools. Bought it on Amazon, good morning by the way. It said it would come from the east coast, and yesterday evening I checked the tracking to see when it was coming. Oh, you refused to accept the package, so we are sending it back to England. No message, no one ringing the doorbell, no nothing, and it was supposed to have been here on Monday. It was tried to be delivered two times on Monday, 1 hour apart. And it says refused both times. If I refused it the first time, why did they come back to ask one hour later. Something is fishy here. Was sent by i-Parcel, which is UPS.
Sent them a note last night, so now they are looking into it. I don't know, maybe it required my signature but then again, no one rang the door bell at that time on Monday, around supper time. And if I had not been home, wouldn't it be normal with a package from England to leave a note saying that there is a package for you, you need to come to our office and sign for it, before sending it back. It was on it't way already a little after midnight the same evening they tried to deliver it.
How on earth is it possible to be that brain damaged, they must have only one brain cell, and it must sit in a wheel chair. I was so upset last night it took me a while to fall asleep.

Have seen many deliveries that make no sense based on regular people logic. Gotta wonder sometimes. Had a big box dropped here from FedEx a while back. Was a hard to find address from in town. Absolutely no way to think it was ours. Not name, number, street. Nothin in common. I think the guy just dumped it here to show it was delivered. And how bout damaged stuff? See stuff come in to work just destroyed. Do they have a deal with the manufacturers? We destroy it. Insurance pays and you can make more? :wtf:

A friend of mine had that Rochester and the appropriate motor in his CJ2 hunting Jeep. Said it was the neatest thing when you got to about 6K feet elevation and it started to richen up. Just get out with the allen wrench that never left the Jeep, give the mixture screw a little tweak and continue on your merry way.

Careful talking about having younger women there Craig....You'll upset Mr Bill............

Must be out of the diapers when she is retiring.... just my thoughts. About upset, ... I am just not interested in it. I have a wonderful wife, and I am happy with her. And she deserves even better than I am anyway.
I was past 50 living by myself, no girlfriend even. Then my wife shows up, and that's it. Now I have a life, someone who care for me, and someone I care for. And I have a baby Dodge too, so life is pretty good.

OH, and the most important question. What did you get? We like tools!

Supposed to get a set of 3 Bahco adjustable wrenches, European style. 6", 8" and 10". First I ordered the wrong ones, the US version, and got them. By the way, they are still for sale, you find them here on the forum for sale. Guess I will try to sell them on ebay instead, no response here.

So, you see, it was not much interesting I was getting.
