Stop in for a cup of coffee

It was almost like once they were inside the confines of the plane, they further confined themselves into the digital world.

Even though they were on devices in the gate area, they were talking and looking around. Once inside the plane where the external stimulus of the environment became limited, they simply withdrew completely from the reality of where they were.

That is an interesting observation

IMO Our "devices" are ruining our lives. People are addicted to Facebook! Just like if they were hooked on a drug... I think this epidemic will come back to haunt civilization.
Like any other device, tool, whatever. It's how you use it. Without devices and FABO it is extremely unlikely any of us would ever have met. I have recently used Facebook a little more than in the past. Some people use it to share and have real communication. Others rarely post any original content. Just share surveys that tell you nothing and sad puppy picture sdaring you to 'share' I will never pass along or even respond to those kind of posts. I think memes can be fun and the whole 'pic is worth a 1000 words' so nothing wrong with sharing them. But not to post one after another randomly having no conversation in between. I'm sure Facebook has actually been a good thing for some people who otherwise had very little contact with anyone. For others it is a place to hide in plain site.

Yep. Smooth is what I do!

I have facebook and use it partly between the close family as a way of communicating with the possibility of pictures. Then I use it for staying in touch with other family, like back in Norway. And last, I have some hobby friends, but only one Mopar friend, Ulf in Sweden (65dodgecharger) is that his nick name here ?

Other than that, I am not too fond of Facebiik, it is a pain in the tush. But I agree, without this zeros and ones, (computers) most of us would probably never have met. If someone wants to look me up on facebook, feel free to do so. I might say yes to add someone. It is ok as long as people does not send crap in private messages, or on my wall. If people are decent, no matter what interest or hobby they have it can be nice to get to know each other. And if people are just interested in seeing what I do or write, and never answer if I say hello, it goes a while like that, and suddenly they are off my friends list, and some might even end up blocked.
Social media is a so so thing. It can be good, and it can certainly be bad too. I have a website too, but so far it is nothing Mopar related there, just a little about Ferguson farm tractors, and a tiny little bit of Amstrad computers. I have not come as far as Mopar stuff. All that is there has to be written manually in code, and I am a bit lazy doing it. Maybe it is time for me to go in and put in some Mopar pictures and text there.

Warm apple pie and a chunk of sharp cheddar. Damn, that was good! Wife made a couple pies for the reunion. And one for here.

I live just over three miles from the coast. How close are you^^^
It is more.than that. A bit over half an hour but then I drive North first and then on River road out to the coast. I'll give you a distance when I am back on the computer. But River road is not speedy.

Glad thats over. Had to go clean out van in the city. Daughter totalled it a week ago. Insured in wife’s name so only my wife could go to insurance storage compound to clean it out.
Kid had lots of crap in the van.

Air travel- i hate it. Very stressful for me. So i do my best to relax, usually play my music and zone out. Keeps the blood pressure down.
Screaming kids really grate on my nerves,i know the parents may or may not be trying to help, another reason for earbuds and loud music.
My wife is a heavy smoker, so even sitting beside her can be trying.
