Stop in for a cup of coffee

Good morning all.....Heading out to hit some poor defenseless white balls around with clubs. Fun.. In my case, the balls are red.

Yesterday was a nice break. Fam reunion went good. Need to get back in gear on the to-do list today. Want to get both rocker panel covers on the Neon. Need to rip the junky patches off the drivers side. Clean out the rust and get some primer in there. Then get both of them caulked and screwed on and paint them black. Not gonna bother welding. Just want it to look decent. Not trying to make it perfect. Was thinking of using 'bed liner', but not sure how rough that is. Don't want it to hold dirt.
Paintable undercoating.

Paintable undercoating.
Could go that route,, but then I am doing a second step to paint it and the outer coat is still just paint. I could just roll on some rustoleum and let it tack up so its rough. Except I want it flat/matte not high gloss. Just looking for simple and rough enough to blend in the repair panel. I think someone made a chip guard spray, but haven't seen it on the shelf. Might check Pep Boys. Not worried about painting it today. Just want to get it together. Just dug the rust out. Looks like a small area comes above the repair piece at the rear dog leg. And a little of the flange at wheel is gone. So may need to piece that in and slap a little bondo on that. Should be a lot easier/quicker than repair I did in that area on the other side.

Built my exhaust. 2.5" with Magnaflow 2 chamber welded style mufflers dumping at the rear axle.

I have done this DNA thing, and making a family Tree on my biological side. I am adopted, so it is limited what I know. But, I knew enough on my biological mothers side to get things going. And, I could trace it back to before year 1000, a Danish, Swedish, Norwegian king named Erik. And before that the battle of Svolder where Olaf Tryggvason was killed. I like him, he sounds like a decent King. What I do not like is that my biological side seems to have been on the other side, those who killed the King. Anyway, I joked about it to my wife this morning and said that the reason I was so late getting out of bed was that I was waiting for my staff to come and dress me properly. LOL And last night before we fell asleep I said to my wife, something odd it going on, I can feel my head is swelling.

These family trees and being able online to trace things back 1000 years and more, is interesting. But, it is also a bit scary too.

Howdy, and good morning. How is things in la la Land ? Guard, as in coast guard ?

I do not feel myself as a former guard, but I kind of liked being in the military. That was an excellent year of my life. When I applied for the Green card in 2013 my wife and I went to an office and an interview, and my military service came up. The officer was asking a lot of questions about it, and finally she went over the limit and asked questions that would be considered a matter of national security, so I told her, I am not going to answer more military questions. She was surprised, but let it go. My wife was shocked that I had cut off the immigration officer, but at some point enough is enough. I am not dangerous to anyone in the us, but not going to sort of tell whatever I did in the military.

Yep, Army Guard

There’s a lot of former military in this group, hoppy, Craig, Tim(or Mitch, I forget which) and someone else but I’m drawing a blank.

In Noway it was mandatory to do service, only if you could not carry a gun for medical reasons or religious you did not have to. But then you had to do Public service in other ways depending of what fit.

I was also in the army.
