Stop in for a cup of coffee

How do you like going into the grocery stores now and they shrink the size of the products you are buying by 25% and then they give you a 40% markup on the same product for all their trouble.

Just shake my head . . .
Less for more money . .

I don't like it at all, and I don't like the food prices here. It is one of the more expensive places in California, and everything cost a lot. Safeway is cheaper than Costco when it comes to meat. It is even more expensive than Norway, and that is shocking. Never used as much money on food as after I moved here. Sad.

Lol . . That is a good analogy of the whole deal.

Yeah you go in there as a paying customer and they have 10 rows of cash registers and no one to man them and people are backing up in the lines trying to pay for their stuff. My time is valuable and I want to get out of there.

Same thing with other big stores, all these cash registers and no one to check you out.

No wonder they are loosing all their sales to the internet with free delivery. Even the UPS people smile and joke with me when they are dropping off stuff at my place. They are glad to have the business and a job.
Home Depot and others around here have removed most of the 'rows of registers'. Most of the time there is still one cashier at the contractor exit. But the main checkout is all self serve.

Howdy, how is you, not seen you in a long time, is the back improving any ?

Hello

Good evening/ late night.

I am getting better every day, but the road still seems long

Laying around is for cows..... so better to be up and about :)

I have been using my down time productively, I set up a comfy chair in front of a bench grinder and I am cleaning and sorting bolts.

I am still trying to sell parts so I got my friend to sit around and hang out and she can help while here :D

Resourceful and getting things done at the same time.

Here is a little something to put a smile on your face on this next post. >>>>>

"Tow Mater" has been making the rounds at the local car shows here.

A local guy did a duplicate to "Mater" the tow truck from Cars the movie and is having a great time showing it.

These people from Oregon were visiting here and came to this cruize in. Wanted me to take their picture with Mater the tow truck.

They are smiling from ear to ear having such a great time.

Who's hungry

I didn't eat today, so I am going to make something

What are some ideas.

Or just go to bed

Will post a picture of the truck by itself to get a better look at it. That is such a big hit around here. Everybody loves it and can identify with it.
I think the Cars movie series is a far more significant movie idea than most think.

I really hope it becomes a classic that is enjoyed by several generations.

Not sure might be an old chev 2 ton truck, will have to find out now ???

Wow looks like we were both right, part International and part chevrolet trucks.

Tow Mater or just Mater (Tow is his first name and Mater is his last name) Type of Vehicle: An Old North American Tow Truck or a 1951 International Harvester L-170 "boom" truck with elements of a mid-1957 Chevrolet 3800. One-Ton Wrecker Tow Truck.

I usually make a good amount in case parents/ friends/ Fabo people happen to pass by and want some.

The measure works better for 3 servings or more
I here ya. I usually do them in a bigger batch. Second round on the griddle is usually the best ones. I don't make pancakes much unless I got guests to eat a bunch. But they do freeze OK
