Yes it was. I didn't get everything done that I wanted to but I have enjoyed my time off. Made me look forward to retirment

I wonder how bbrroowwnn lines all his sale ad threads up so he can bump 3 or 4 a minute?

So if there is 12 V on both sides of the coil primary, no current is running through it.
Whether that's because the points are open, not connecting to ground, or something else...???

Correct, no current running through it, but you don't know the reason for it until further tests.

Noted thanks guys. We’re gonna re-wire it and put a new switch in. We have power and good lines from the distributor to the coil to the plugs. But nada at the dizzy

That dizzy should be good if it is the one I sent you.

I had 13" tires on a 63. Could not panic stop at a speed any higher than 45 mph without locking up the breaks and skidding on all 4 tires. Went to 14's and could panic stop from 60 mph no problem. Tires hsd AA tracktion rating on the 13's

I just came to think of something. My 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis does not have very good brakes. But anyway, I had air in the circuit to the rear brakes, and the car would not stop on the freeway. Since it has ABS I can not lock the brakes. In 65 on the freeway and hitting the brakes hard makes the front end dive, and the rear end come up, so you should think it did not matter so much if the rear brakes does not work. I got it fixed, and the brakes works better. But still, the brakes on a Grand Marquis is for Sunday driving. Poop....

Don’t know. But I doubt I’ll be able to get one. Oh well. Maybe I’ll hire a model to pose next to my junk projects and enhance the projects visual appeal and put them into a calendar hahahaha

That's the one you were looking around for parts for?
Everything I’ve sourced new thru John Deere is mixed results. Brand new coil was junk, the two condensers aren’t testing good. Hitting a local tractor salvage yard today, gonna see if I can pull them from the ones there
