And the Time Chainge too? :wtf: was in my coffee?
I think that's in a couple more weeks

I hit the dizzy with a BFH and now it’s running like a champ
That sounds like a simple way. But probable fail again.

Aquired one many years ago. Kinda wish I had built that . But,
Pulled out of Father in laws barn, where it has sat open for many years. Bird **** everywhere. lol
Needed EVERYTHIN...Lot's of rust and not a straight panel on it. Wife and brothers beat the fk out of it in their early driving years...
Sold it as-is maybe 15 years ago.

Got oil changed in the Journey and now having my second cup of java. Think I will put the Neon up on the ramps while I have them out. Have a look at the suspension. Gonna get front tires and alignment soon. Want to make sure no surprises. I did the lower control arms and all was good in the spring, but the roads are hell around here right now. They are stripping a layer off and leaving manholes sticking up all over. Took a different way to work to try to avoid it and ended up in even worse mess. Friggin smaller pipes sticking up all over the place in the little town I went through. Wasn't going that fast, but I nailed one harder than I would like to. Don't think I hurt anything, but good to put eyes on it...

I’m sure it will. But we narrowed it down to a bad set of points even though they were new and we had them gapped correctly. Swapped them out after I got it hit with the hammer and now it starts repeatedly and runs great

Ok so I’m officially stumped. Hooked coil directly to the battery, put an inline spark light in between coil and dizzy, no spark out of any of the brand new coils (3) nor the accel super coil that I know works off the Polara. What’s wrong
Lets start from scratch. Known good coil? Check!
Known good spark plug? Check!
Known good wire? 1000 ohms or less per foot? Check!
Spark plug on wire, wire stuffed into coil tower and spark pkug wedged on a good ground.

take a jumper, on plus side of coil to positive battery post.
Take another jumper, neg side of coil and scratch it across ground.please make sure neg bat cable is attatched.
This should establish spark at the plug.

ok, now that we hopefully have spark, lets move over to distributor. a simple test light, wire lead on plus side of battery, pointy end on wire coming from points . Crank engine. Test light should flash.
no flash? Or light stays on,need to know before proceeding.

Should have kept reading. Glad its running. New points have a coating on the contacts. They need to be cleaned with a piece of paper, like white paper from your printer.

Coffee break. Making progress on the old chevy. Ac box from the 97 is hanging.

Making progress here. Only .001 clearence on main bearings on the truck. Supppsed to be .0025 so got that narrowed down. Jumped to next vehicle got measurements for exhaust donut. Need oil and zinc additive for both motors. Photos of the car. Went from 195 75 13 to 205 75 14. Had the 13 as a spare.4

Got the lawn mowed and trimmed, got the equipment back to my son's house and put away. I took a shower and took a crock pot of chicken chili to the neighbors after their mother's funeral. Let's see, what to do this afternoon?
