Back under chrysler dash, temp control is the top one, behind the very hot coolant pipes.
Not the lower actuator which i changed first. Doh!

I completely understand that. All my newer vehicles have really good sound systems in them and I have been known to rattle the windows with them.I do like the cleaned up look, Dave. but im a bit of a metalhead so i need my tunes.
i wouldnt hack a dash for the sake of a new style stereo, but in most cases someone already beat me to it. I think the dart dash is untouched and still has the radio. I had a sony cassette and a bigass amp driving a set of house speakers in the rear hatch (dart sport)
To me a loud stereo is high in my priorities.
Oh yeah, swapping out that blend door actuator sucks rocks. Hope I never have to do another one!Back under chrysler dash, temp control is the top one, behind the very hot coolant pipes.

I am glad you got it fixed. I have a confession to make, I have another hobby from back in Norway that I can not enjoy here in the US. I love old Ferguson farm tractors, I have several of them back in my garage there.Yep that’s actually what we did on the points we swamped in. Used some grey emery paper on the suggestion of a friend and boom, fired right up.
Thanks mike, I've been in here before, just don't know if I've ever said anything.....then recently I saw 12,000 pages, i'm thinking "wow".Hey Higgs! Welcome.
What is the green tape for?Coffee break. Making progress on the old chevy. Ac box from the 97 is hanging.

I read that the old Poly are more fuel efficient than the later LA engines. From what I read it sounded like it was a great engine, just a little on the heavy side.I have to say, UTG recently posted a video and he explained how the Poly 318 came to be from the old HEMI.
I have to say, I am starting to see it differently now.
Now I am not sure what to do with the one I have . When I bought this car, I was thinking I would scrap that huge boat anchor and replace with a 440.
I think I am at least going to get it running this weekend. The previous owner claims it was rebuilt in 1997 and the car was parked in 2001 when he went to college and hasn't been started in that long

Thats where we cut the firewall. What is the green tape for?

Make it run. As complete as it appears, should be easy. Poly is a great engine. 4 barrel conversion can get pricey tho.I have to say, UTG recently posted a video and he explained how the Poly 318 came to be from the old HEMI.

There’s a guy around here that brings 3-4 of those to the local fair. Always unique ones. Usually lots of John Deere As Bs, Gs, some old Minneapolis Moline’s, then old Ferguson’s are still able to be found here in the US, at least in the fly over states where the small farmer still exists.I am glad you got it fixed. I have a confession to make, I have another hobby from back in Norway that I can not enjoy here in the US. I love old Ferguson farm tractors, I have several of them back in my garage there.

You went thru the exact same thing I went thru with my 64 and the poly. Kind of grows on you, especially when people stop by and ask wtf that thing isI have to say, UTG recently posted a video and he explained how the Poly 318 came to be from the old HEMI.
