Yes it is. Yummy. My mother in law was from Oklahoma, so that is how my wife got it. This is not a California food she says. And she make it only with pink beans, onion, and ham, salt and ground black pepper. No other beans must come in the pot, and the beans have to be checked for small rocks.
I had never eaten it before we moved here. Norway has only two types of beans, white and brown and other beans does not exist.
Now, beans to me are very rich, so I can only eat one to one and a half bowl. Tomorrow I doubt I can eat any. Maybe a bowl on Tuesday.
