It’s like anything else, win some, lose some. I’ve had el cheapo brands last forever, while craftsman, Dewault etc break in sort order. I also think it depends on where you buy them too. I’ve had better luck with the Dewault tools I’ve bought from the local construction store than I have with the ones I bought from Lowe’s and Home Depot.

That said, Milwaukee’s are my favorite for heavy duty use. Zero issue with them ever

It doesn't matter where you buy them as much as where and how they are made.... :poke:

Lol, I just got done prepping my 28 pound bird, now it soaks overnight and then cook about 8 am

I cooked a turkey yesterday as my son said that his friend that invited us over didn't have any... It turned out that they had 2 of them....

So I kept it for us and after it cooled down I trimmed it and ate a small piece about 4 bites, and the last bite hung up in my throat and I choked.... I couldn't get it to go down with a drink (made me choke more), so I sat in my recliner and fell asleep and it worked it's way down....

Pulled floor panels out of fargo, to make access to cab mounts easier.
Interesting how things were done back in the day...

Is the floor panels of wood ?

If the temp goes a little up I will go out and see if I can adjust my engine after installing the PCV valve. Maybe it gets so warm inside the car that I can get the last layer of paint on the dashboard recess. Just waiting for the sun to heat it up.

I have a question. The Dodge Diplomats, from late 1970ties and out in the 1980ties, before the injection came, was it good cars ? Anyone have any experience with that. Ok, I hear a lot of people say that American cars in the late 70ties and 80ties in general was not very good cars, but were they as bad as the reputation was ? And, I guess what I am looking for is, was Dodge Diplomats any worse than the GM and Ford's from those years. I must admit I kind of like that style from back then.

Good stuff. Look at all the cop cars made out of those. Late 80's 318's were roller cam engines with #302 casting heads and 904 transmissions with lock up converters.

Did they have the same issue as the Aspen had with the K-frame sagging and giving in, having to adjust the front suspension again and again until it was no more to adjust, just get a new K-frame ?

Blasphemy to compare a Superior Dodge to a ford or GM of the same era. :poke:

Did you actually think anyone here would say "sure, the GM is a better car" Not a chance

I would love to find a good 80s Diplomat or Gran Fury, comfortable good riding cars with outstanding style. :usflag:

never heard of that problem. F bodies had transverse torsion bars so it was exactly like the older cars with torsion bars except the torsion bars were mounted side to side. The Fbody had considerably more rubber to wear out but when new the extra rubber pieces made it smoother and quieter. Anyone with any kind of skill can tune in an F body suspension with no problems

Ya i had a daily driver 88 Plymouth Grand Fury bought form the North Dakota State Patrol fleet... Just a detective car , but a sweet ride.

Moving forward, cleaned up transmission cover, found a little group of rusted through spots. made up a patch and welded it in. Think all the other 2 need is degreaser and a scrub brush.

Welded on the top, will grind and paint after it cools. Bottom can stay, other than a cleaning and a shot of paint.
