Stop in for a cup of coffee

I am starting to get a bad feeling I missed something in the dark with only the little flashlight.

And tomorrow it is supposed to rain between 1 and 2 inches... So who knows when I get out there again.

Bill

I had to go out again, and sure thing, in the darkness and without my glasses I ended up adjusting the choke idle screw instead of the the other other screw. Now it purrs like a kitten again.

If you were to build a 1 car work space, due to limited space. What size would you make it so it would fit at least a B body and still have room to work around the front and sides?
Ideally, what Dave said.
I rent a 17 x 27 - and as far as work on car space goes, that's plenty.
Alot depends on how much else you have in there.
Ideally figure room to open the doors. If you get a lift, then you can't cheat by parking closer to one side or the other.
If you're going to use a floor jack, plan on room behind the car so you can use it with the garage door shut.
Personally I like the toolbox with wrenches close to the engine bay, and a work surface nearby as well.
Will there be shelving? A place to hang lights.
Compressor?
Washsink?
Toilet?
Other equipment? A parts cleaner is nice!

I store a fair amount in mine as well. Extra parts, competition tires. etc. etc.

My garage is 24 wide 32 deep. Have to pay attention while opening door when a car is on the hoist. 10 foot door will hit the car.
I have no extra room. Then i added an alignment machine, i have to keep rolling it out of my way...

Time for bed. Last night the temps were about the same as tonight. This morning, the garage was at 54*. It will be interesting to see where it is tomorrow morning.

G’nite.

Yes that is for the pair assembled
About tempted to get a pair of heads and a set of stainless rockers. I have a pair of 302's and I know it will cost me $500+ to go through them and at least have them port matched. Might as well sell them for a few hundred and have a set of aluminums that I have $500 or so into.

May end up being just a slab and car port but that would get me off the dirt and rocks that I currently work on. I run a generator to power my compressor and any electrical as it is.

I have a roller 318 block in the garage. A set of aluminum heads would be a great start towards a 390 stroker or just a nice addition to my stock teen in my Swinger. A little cam,intake/carb (which I have already)

In other words bigger than the house.
garage I think is 20x20. If not full of clutter, shelves, work tables etc. It would probably be a good size to work on a car.
I meant to add - I did not build my car in the garage. That was my workspace. I built it in the driveway..

Can you place the slab in such a way that once you can afford it or whatever and are ready for it you can add more and more, and finally have a garage. I mean, if you have a car port with 4 posts in the corners and a roof, adding a wall now and then is not that big of a deal, usually.

That probably wouldn't pass code.

Next will be to mount the defroster vents now the painting is done, and I think I may have made my decision about the color on the car. I know it was light turquoise outside, I mean exterior paint. I think I will end up painting it dark turquoise outside. I like that color more and more. The dashboard is dark turquoise, and I think it will look really good with the entire car that color.

The carport at the house will need to be open but thinking about doing a small garage at the ranch in order to have a level surface to work off and index off of.

Yes im here. My head is spinning from looking at a bill for converting a truck from efi to carb. Funny thing is I already have the carb and intake. I'm over $200.00 just on tools, hoses and fittings.
