Stop in for a cup of coffee

Yeah... Im gonna go get it next week. Been re-organizing my Shop, so I can bring it in here, if I have to wait to find a guy to paint it. Plus...the Shop needed to be cleaned up...LOL....
I cleaned up my garage yesterday. Came home from the Chicago show last month and just unloaded and left it.
Not like me, but I was car show tired and needed a break.
Back at it looking for a few odds and ends.
Buddy John is coming back out end of March. We're going to do some beauty work on the 67.
Get it all ready for another season.

Rules? We don't need stinking rules! Does Carlisle have rules? I think rows N-P are exempt!
Is that like the N&P forum?
I really need to get to MITP one year hear it is a good one.
Doubt that can happen for me anytime soon. When and where is that one?
That's about right. I have been using drilled and slotted rotors went back to stock in the rear see how they hold up. I drive that hard around here lots of hills and turns so kind of expected. Helll tires are a yearly thing also, Other than that great car.
I had them on the Magnum. Got from ebay. Shortest life of any rotors I ever used. All the inner faces rusted bad. Had chunks of chinesium coming off in like a year. :wtf:

Would you be willing to bring it this far? I am checking into someone. I assume you want a high quality job...

I plan to do some organizing in mine today

I hope to pull all the interior out of the Duster this year and get things matched better with SEM spray. Maybe add some sound matting.

Good Morning

When I put new carpet in the Barracuda I put the sound matting down. Makes a difference.

I think I have found a guy nearby...Will know next week. Would rather have it close, so I can check on it better....

I have had good luck with the chimney flashing tape. Have it in the Tikey truck and the dart. 1/4 of the price.

Mine just has the backing pad in foot areas like original. And firewall pad - different than, but in same area as original.
I left all that in. I put it down on the floor boards and behind the rear seat up to the trunk. It didn't take much.
I sold the leftover squares to another guy doing the same to his car.

For? Is that just metal, or rubber layer, or? For joining the matting I would probably use the good duct tape that is metal foil like on my AC ducts.

Keefver MITP is Mopars In The Park...30 miles south of Minneapolis. Three day show weekend after Memorial Day. 1400 cars like a smaller Carlisle, very well organized.

What kind did you use? I now a lot of guys use whatever Home Depot has. Apparently similar to Dynamat at fraction of price.

My matting had a sticky side. Once you put it down and went over it with a roller it wasn't coming up.

Great show. Probably half or 2/3 the size of The Nats. Carlisle is huge. You guys are lucky to have it so close.

I bought some off ebay. It wasn't real cheap. I think 20 squares was $100. I used like 6 and sold the rest. You can look and find fewer than 20. I'll look and see if I can't find what I bought. Sure Lowes or HD has something cheaper.

I’m still thinking if you’re after just heat reduction that Mylar film would do the job and be way lighter. I’m gonna give it a try.

Squares? How big? I thought most came as a roll...

That's what I Posted. It is heavy foil over thick rubber adhesive. 6"x 50' last time I bought it was just under $20. I have it on the floor of the truck with a throw caret on it. I take the carpet out and just hit it with a hose to get the crap out. Love it and no it does not stink over the exhaust either. Really quieted it down and I put it on the underside of the roof keeps the heat way down also.

I am interested in sound reduction through floor. Not sure if I will pull the headliner again. Anything added under that would be more for temp. Not really a big deal for either, but if I have them out I might add something. I should have my AC working this summer.

I disagree a tiny bit. I think the Nats vendor area and race area are larger. Part of that feeling though may be that the Nats are much more spread out.

Now I do think the swap meet area at Carlisle is probably 5-10 times bigger than the Nats. And that’s a conservative guess. I did like Carlisle better than the Nats because of the swap meet oh and meeting you all.

Speaking of Carlisle, my unit is being really wishy washy about me doing an Alternative Training for those days. One minute, it’s yes, we’ll get Battalion to ok it, next, not so much. So I’m probably just gonna miss out this year.

But I know there’s a couple shows west of me that I may try and hit. Craig, when’s that one near you?
