Stop in for a cup of coffee

Just living for the next day off to do more with the cars.

I am going to work on the scamp some more

I have 2 projects going and I like to have 2 or 3 going at all times because if you work on only 1 there will be a ton of delays.

This way when the scamp hits a road block I divert to the duster and back and forth.

The duster is almost done for what I am tying to accomplish which is to drive it on its own power.

Obviously it's years away from being a restored show car but I will be a happy camper when it runs and stops.

I need to address the driveshaft and brakes.

The scamp needs a lot more. I'm doing the bolt audit and still hunting small pieces down for it.

Not so good man. I think I might have caught a cold or something. My throat is all dry and scratchy and I have this nagging cough.
Well hi........
You must be new.
What kind of car brings you to this great site??

Sorry to hear about the cough, the body is a temperamental machine with stuff like that.

Hello, yes I'm the new guy. Jorge, and it's actually my D150 that brought me here. I've been doing my research on some work I'm going to do and this forum would always show up in my searches with plenty of info and help. And after hanging around I found it to be the most active so I figured why not join. And I've really been enjoying this place, feels homey.

Welcome
This site is a great resource and fellowship even for non A bodies.

I have a 70 D100 pickup and I actually found a bellhousing for it here on fabo.

Did you see our trucks thread?

Let's see your Dodge pickups

@Rainy Day Auto would you drive a 68 charger with a slant 6 or V8 swap it?
That is an interesting question.
Depends what condition it's in.
I currently have a 67 belvedere 1 that was a slant six car originally but the slant was long gone before I got it and the car needs a resto.
I am not going to hunt down that stuff so it's getting a 383. If the slant stuff would have been there . ... maybe

It's hard to imagine a 68 charger with a slant. I have a 68 charger currently that is a 383 car and I had one before that had a 440. So i can't imagine a six in one when I'm so used to seeing them in big block form.

In general, I feel slants are more for A bodies. When you consider the valiant was originally designed around the slant and not the other way around, it just feels natural to put a slant in a A body. other car lines...... not so much .... just my .02

Those cars are like E bodies.

They look great but what an awkward car to drive. Blind spots like crazy and it's just a clumsy car. Freaking huge, I could barely see over the hood line and forget about seeing anything on your passenger quarter panel. Just turn your signal on and drive like an Asian lady and hope you don't hit anything.

I had a 70 cuda before and I sold the 68 charger with the 440 because the ride just doesn't match the hype.

When I got into A bodies....... what a comfortable road car that you can see out of and control so nimble. A BODIES are what all cars should be like

I am hoping that the Coronet ends up being a good roadtrip car. Aka more space.
66 and 67 B bodies are a lot different.

The angle of the dash is different. It's a completely different car than 68-70 B bodies.

I'm fed up with the 68 to 70 and I also have high hopes that my 67 belvedere is going to turn out to be a comfortable car I can drive.

The coronet is pretty much the same format like my belvedere so i would say there is a good chance

I suppose it would get to 70 on the freeway after a few miles. God help you when it gets to any thing that resembles a grade. 4000 lbs is a bunch for a slant to drag around.
