no, not busted, but they did screw up, promoted me, then realized they didn’t have the slot and after a year, demoted me as a “re org” and then randomly slotted next in that ranks slot but in a MOS I didn’t have, which left me stuck for years. And sad part, I caught them trying to do the same just last week.

mechanic? Hell I need an electrician
Maybe when I come thru there in July, I could look at it?

So looking at this, it doesn’t really confirm to me, that this Polara is infact a negative ground. I’m so confused because all the Polaras in the junkyard all had black cables going to the starter, red ones to the block. Even pulled the original harness out of the box and it was the same
OMG Chris, Electricity does not care what color the insulation is!!!!!!:BangHead:

wow, looking threw this book it's mostly all gm products, wiring to putting stripes on the body correctly

I used to be responsible for tape stripes and decals at the truck plant...

Make sure surface is clean - wet wipe and dry wipe before installing...

Body temp should be between 50° - 90°, preferably above 70° is best....

Part with adhesive should be between 70° - 90° (mostly applies to tape held moldings)....

Spray body with soap water solution, only two or three drops of dish soap to a full spray bottle of water...

Apply decal and get in proper position...

Squeegee water from decal using the edge of a bondo style plastic paddle going from the center outward...

If there are any bubbles under the film/decal, get a pin and poke a hole at the edge of the bubble and use paddle to push water out from under decal...

Adhesive will get to full strength within 24 hours...

The soap/water solution will make it easier to reposition the decal if it's not correct when you originally position it...

The service manual with wiring diagrams is your friend... :D

Im sure it is negative ground. The fact that some you saw had black cables to the starter , implies that someone used a universal cable to power the starter with 12 volts....
all of them? With factory insulation?

Maybe when I come thru there in July, I could look at it?
It’ll be running by then.

I know that, I’m more concerned that I have it connected right
