Stop in for a cup of coffee

I saw where CA has to drain a lake. That's gonna make them eco people thrilled

Up by San Jose must be the one. If their rainfall totals are as bad as ours for this winter, it would be a good time to do it. I doubt it's filling at the present time. One down south on the desert side of the mountains, it was built as a giant catch basin with a drain. Well, the drain is not flowing to it's design capacity, logically the orifice must be partially plugged and needs a roto-rooter job so to speak.

look mom, I can do a hand stand

I shouldn't laugh at that truckin' incident. A truck driver I knew lost his life when one of these

hit a railroad bridge on a project in the old homeland. The impact moved the bridge 3'

Looking at the f'ed up welding thread, You know I weld just fine with flux core wire.......

And you really shouldn't attempt welding thin metals with flux core.

I just never used wire welders that much. Seemed like the flux core work okay on 095 wall and up. Depended mostly on where the job was located. On the welding table, close to the 30A breaker, that worked. I guess I did build a bunch of guards for machinery from box tubing and expanded metal with the wirefeed, built in shop then moved into place kinda thing. I would torch weld things just to keep in practice and for the fun of it . I keep telling myself "Take the TIG course at the college" never seems to transpire .

A buddy of mine builds rat rod trucks for a living. The guy can run a mig for sure.

I got to play with a 35s Miller gas wirefeed a little, worked great on tubing. All the nerf bars I built for my race karts were all torch welded :D. A friend of mine used to practice has aluminum TIG skills welding beer cans together :BangHead: I used to do his welding before he went off to that fancy welding trade school thing

There go our Navy fly boys. Not quite sure why, but we have had a couple of them camped out at the local airport. Afterburner takeoffs are NOT uncommon . VAFB is only 15 miles away and they have 2 miles of lovely concrete strip to play on . There was talk about civilians on that concrete for land-speed record runs but security issues raised their ugly heads, RATZ.
