Stop in for a cup of coffee

Diff got swapped in, so nice clean one in shop got replaced with a crusty one.
The diplomat rear diff is 4” wider.
Hope it will fit.

I spent the afternoon swapping out all the recessed lighting bulbs on the first floor so that they are all now the same color and intensity. 15 bulbs, 15 times up and down the ladder...9-1/2 foot ceilings.

Fixed a friend’s thickness planer, had a couple bad bearings. Just waiting for the steaks hes preparing to come off the BBQ.
He does awesome bbq!

They flew some of the infected to within 20 miles of my place!!!!!!! Miramar.....
So much for it being a long way away from me!!!
They were talkin' Camp Roberts for that same thing. 80 miles from here, next to 1 of 3 major north~>south thorofares. Didn't sound like a good idea to me

Company bought us barbecue for dinner again:thumbsup: They have been bringing in food almost every time we work weekends for last month.

Dave, what tire/wheel did you use to make your trunk flat? Mine sits up a little in center, so I know what doesn’t fit. Lol I am assuming all abody tire wells are same?
Spare Tire size.

I used the factory wheel 14” x 4.5” wheel and a Firestone F-560 155/80/14 tire. I got the tire from Coker. The tire diameter and aspect ratio matches the original spare.

Oddly enough, it’s the tire they use for vintage VW bugs.

I prob should replace the spare in mine. Definately will consider that option. Assuming F is the load rating - that's higher than factory.

You ever drive out to Az?
See how these look in real life.

I don't know if '69 ralley panels were finished differently on the back, but glad I saw these photos.
'67 is plain finish with some strategic blackouts.
Frank at Vacuum Orna-metal said they could mask off the back. I just need to put a reminder in the box. Same thing with polishing the lenses. Mine look fine. Unless they see scratches, leave 'em as is. This is not a day one or even year one restoration. Showing a little age is OK with me. Point is they seem easy to work with.

I have seen the 63 in person. Jim is doing a great job on it. Saw it in January.

990 lb according to Summit.
Yes, but that is the modern rating...and higher than the original factory rating using the old system for bias-ply tires. They were just under 800 lbs in the modern system.

Your car weighs around 3300 lbs. A 990 lb load rating is way more than sufficient for a spare.

So i told him i hope the bearings dont last.then nother bbq! Man! Dinner was good!
Angel food for dessert. But im kinda full.

Things that make you go “Hmmm...”

Why is the “****” flavored soup stocked on the shelves just above the “Jerk” Seasoning?
