I wish Uber later so I am screwed. Lots of Magnum distribs,, funny how they go in groups.

you can read from the begining, but 8 takes the cake.
Jetting and timing question

And to your question last night, if the key was left out of the timing gear, I think it would just spin. LOL.
I wonder if dampener would lock gear to crank? Isnt the key long so it fits gear and balancer? Easy enough to check, pull bolt and slide a pick down the groove.

im guessing timing it 180* out of whack is part of his problem...

That's a pretty serious attempt to stir the pot!

No. It wouldn't be running at all.
Some balancers have marks 90 degrees but who knows what else is going on there. He admits he prefers idle at 1000 rpm 'cause it sounds better, and knows all about the effect of changing jets on a carterbrock. Hopefully others can see he's not one to be going to advice for on tuning.

Ya think they’d do that during the winter. I feel springtime your ready to roll.
That was my plan. here I am sending the instrument panel and speedo off for repairs first week of March. :(
I do have a back up plan though if I need to use the car.

sadly, probably not.

Whats up with 2 timing marks must have missed it.
You see the link? Tried to help the guy. Gave him a some possibilites of why it runs good with timing so high. One possibility was a mix of early and late parts. he posts back that both pass and drivers sides are right. LOL I'm done there.

Well I guess I was thinking car shows Lol!! Your thinking racing season . I know you’ll be smiling when you get it back and how new and shiny it’ll be.

Buddy John is coming back the end of the March. I asked him how long he planned on staying. He replied when he thought we’re done. Nice, I really enjoy just being around soaking up some MOPAR knowledge. It’s like being here, but having him there in the garage actually working on the car.
