Stop in for a cup of coffee

Will be interesting next week with masks required everywhere. I already wear mine most of the time at work. But most people do not. It is difficult to work an entire shift with it on. I was mostly using it when I was working on machines cause operators tend to hover around too close. Worst part will be communication. It's somewhat loud and we wear earplugs. So even without a mask it is hard to hear sometimes. Plus the guy I work with in maintenance cant hear in a quiet room... I can see people wanting to get even closer to talk with masks on.
I hope they dont go to that here. I wont wear one, now nor will most I work with..

For us, that will come down to whether or not work enforces it. They have done quite a bit to stay compliant with PA rules. Just yesterday we put up a tent for the temp screeners so eveyone gets checked without entering the building. Currently that happens inside after we are already punched in and have already mingled with co-workers. Little late at that point. But I am not aware of anyone getting flagged.

So not car related but is mechanical! One of my men just purchased a brand new 2020 Harley. I saw it in parking lot first thing this morning and did what any self respecting old school biker would do and dumped some oil under it. I came in and never said a word, he has been showing it to everybody and so I noticed he had moved the bike over a spot, trying to ensure it was not his bike leaving the puddle of oil under it. Yep, I went and did it again. I then baited one of my maint men to having the guy show him his new bike. The proud owner is losing his mind as we speak! New bike less than twenty miles on it blah blah blah. He is having a total melt down. My moral dilemma is do I let him stress all night or confess before he goes home!

Yep. Lot of fun up to about 60mph. After that she don't like it much. I'm guessing she was engineered around 55mph speed limit.
Yep, I just rode it around town. 45 mph. limit. Waterloo and Cedar Falls are probably 7 or 8 miles apart connected with a 6 lane road lined with businesses, restaurants, and bars. It was the perfect scooter for cruising.

First Covid death in our county and a outbreak from our local Tyson packing plant. :BangHead: The county and city officials aren't happy.

Here is my Yamaha 750 Seca on top of Pikes Peak in the early 80s. What a great bike. Never missed a beat go up the peak. Man was it smooth and quick.

Protesters against stay at home order? Against civil rights? Walking side by side carrying signs. One says “I WILL NOT COMPLY”
I get it, people need to work, but damn....

And they will be the ones that end up in the hospital as sick as a dog for 2 or 3 weeks (or worse). Never mind how many they infect along the way. Some people are just stupid.

"Those Doctors don't know squat"
"Quarantine my backside"
"Am I gonna be on TV?"
There's always that contingent of humanity that knows they are smarter than everyone else and immune to ALL.
