Duster De-ruster
Scraped the crusty stuff from under my deck...
Just go out back and dig up one of those jars you have buried??Looks like a rush on the bank here I have never seen a line out onto the road for the drive up before. Suns starting to peak out but it is a muddy mess everywhere here.
Couple small rust holes. Not enough to bother with the welder yet. Just touched up with Rustoleum. Sharpened and balanced the blades. Will put it back on the mower tomorrow. Gonna get ready for work early and make a few store stops on the way.
Really making me want to move there........NOT!!!Looks like a rush on the bank here I have never seen a line out onto the road for the drive up before. Suns starting to peak out but it is a muddy mess everywhere here.

I only replaced my blades on my John Deere twice in 26 years....I sharpen them every spring....Just got a new set of them for mine also. Man the old ones are short! Love my mower but man the blades are 100 and that's cheap for them!

A lot of that is in how you sharpen them. Some people take a ton of metal off trying to get it straight every time you get a ding on the edge. The grass dont care what it looks like. LolI only replaced my blades on my John Deere twice in 26 years....I sharpen them every spring....
I buy the “Gator” blades. Seem to last and are tougher.Mines 50” wide. I see 3 blade set is $30-40 on ebag. Don’t recall when I got new last, but should be good for a few years yet
If you have sandy soil it will wear them out fast too. When I bought my house a mower in the shed came with the deal.
It needs a little work though

Swisher Finish Cut Pull-Behind Mower 344cc Briggs & Stratton Powerbuilt Engine, 44in. Deck, Model# FC10544BS | Northern ToolThat is a yuppy mower and a half.
Where do you even buy something like that. Definitely not the average Jane places I shop like Lowe's, home depot, and tractor supply.
That looks like something you can get through sky mall or duty free shopping network.
Tomorrow will be fun, snapped a bolt off in the dana 60 for the cover. Gonna have to drill and tap it.

I built a 4 footer, commercial deck and 18 hp. Pulls easy and cuts down on mowing time.
